Damn, Quinn just pulled a 90000 IQ play. He just showed everyone how toxic the ffxiv community while signal boosting his own stream. In reality he couldn't careless about FFXIV, he understood how snowflakey this community is and found a way to enrage the entire ffxiv community by dumpstering over the story by skipping which enrages the casuals, then purposely did poor in the boss fights to enrages the raiders.
Man that guy is very very smart. It makes us look bad and makes him look like a victim.

The entire community just got played.

Play the game in a normal way, Asmongold and Rich got a surge of viewers which is much better advertisment. Even if he said "I don't like it" in a polite manner, he would've still stonked.
Ignore the game, and play something else. His viewer base was already dwindling due to his narcissic behavior except this whole reaction made things worse. There is other MMO going in Alpha/Beta these days, he could've played those.

Many of his year long viewers called his crap (including moderators), his move was a gamble to attract XIV haters to watch him. Except it backfired and he's just trying to collect the remaining pieces of his image by playing the victim card. Except no, he choose to play the jester card.

He got attention for the past few days and what's worse, other streamers are calling his crap. Meaning they get the rewards that went with all Quinn's attention..

Completely agree. The saddest thing is that while most people can see this for what it was he still has a group encouraging him to behave like he is, we see it in this thread. He's not doing anything new or interesting either, this 9000 IQ talk is just simping, honestly. Many many streamers and YouTubers have gone down the road of appealing to, and rewarding the toxic side of their viewers and all that happens is the decent people leave, leaving only the toxic ones. Asmongold, for all his critics and flaws will stop mid sentence and call out his own chat when he thinks they are out of line. He does it frequently.

TTS donations are a real red flag, it encourages all the edge lords to say something stupid for attention and gets so many people into trouble that any semi intelligent person would not allow that feature.

Ya, like i found out that a percent of people on forums and twitter are realllllly toxic. Like really I thought the guy was funny. I don't understand how people can take things so personal because someone on a platform hates this game. It is JUST a game. I also seen the blunt end of some of the nut cases that play this game. If you have anything negative to say about the game or the community. They come on in droves like you personal attack them. And guess what? They really think that. It is because some people use this game as an escape a little too much. Start to think they are in love with the game. I'm cool with liking it, but people really need to come back to the real world at times.

Yeah I've sat watching it with some kind of macabre fascination. Asmongolds first day was a disgrace and I'm very glad the ban hammer came out swift and true. The reaction to this Quinn guy is getting blown massively out of proportion though, the twitter thread you posted is tame af, I've seen worse behavior in Spongebob forums. He provoked the community, then stood back in shock clutching his handbag when they clapped back. His own fans and moderators are clapping back at him about it never mind the FFXIV players.

As the twitter thread said, he has simply reaped what he sowed.
