I'm sure there is some bad apples in this case like in any other cases but imo the issue was his attitude. Had he just said game isn't for me and quit (or not saying anything an quit) the people wouldn't critic it as much. He's just another big mouth streamer in my book from what i seen of Quinn.
Look on the bright side. The fool blew some money on a couple jump potions and bought a few expansions to support the devs. Poor gameplay and dishonesty not withstanding.
And I think his viewers calling him out on his shit is the actual common sense here. At the end of the day he just comes off as a airhead streamer that has a following due to a series of obnoxious over the top unfunny quips.
He pretty much cheated to endgame and that is frowned upon because as others have said he didn't give the game a honest and fair shot.
I would really appreciate a forum mod just locking this thread and filing Quin69 under the LazyPeon 2.0 dust bin of history honestly. Twitch streamers with thousands and millions of views pretending like their opinions are the same as some regular player is disingenuous at best and lying at worse.
Flagging the original post to ask the forum moderators to lock this mess. The FF14 community is well aware of what happened here and Twitch streamers turning a blind eye or trying to stir up more drama to paint the FF14 community as horrible white knight toxic people is not going to accomplish anything except get them rage clicks.

Another high school drama in the little FF14 world. Move on, or grow up. It's whatever.
Tbh, it just sounds like he didnt enjoy the game from the get go and wanted to jump in for the hype train. I also dont buy into this thing of "buying a boost" invalidates his opinion either -- since he CLEARLY was at the point of:
A) Quitting the game
or
B) Boosting to squeeze out the content
Im going to sit in the middle and say both Quin and the community is being disingenuous towards this situation. Quin came in with not good intentions to a game he was not going to like -- and didnt like it. FF14 players are instantly writing him off as LazyPeon because he bought a boost -- even if his criticism of ARR matches literally every other criticism of ARR from the community.
Oh boy, i sure hope all this streamer crap has died down when endwalker is released.
Literally who?
Except he didn't even get to the bad parts of ARR. He skipped after doing Sastasha.Tbh, it just sounds like he didnt enjoy the game from the get go and wanted to jump in for the hype train. He sucked at the game because he skipped the tutorial, and instead of doing homework on how to play the class he bought, he went in blind and so still sucked at the game. It's like someone drove their mom's minivan a couple of times as a teenager, and then got behind the wheel of a Ferrarri, and crashed it within 10 minutes. Then said that the Ferrari was crap.
He's allowed not to like the game! He said he hates reading, and that is why he didn't like the story. A text heavy RPG is obviously not what he needs to be playing then. It's personally never bothered me because I'm a speed reader, but I can get behind that as a valid reason to dislike XIV.
Skipping 70 levels without learning to play your new class and then getting mad when you die? That's what he is getting mocked for.
