my expectations are low for hats, I really like the lvl 90 rdm hat but sacrifice willing to take.

I will not play male Viera but I like their arms. The reason why I'm not fond of female Viera is because their arms look too thin for my liking. The males look significantly better imo!

Professional lurker.
They're absolutely perfect, I couldn't have imagined they'd turn out this well. Definitely a day one fantasia and never look back for me, I've been waiting for a male character this lithe and graceful in the game since 2013.
Thank you so much for putting in all the effort to make this a reality, square!
As a former male ballet dancer and currently a yoga teacher….their bodies are similar to mine… I do wish they had better posture but I’ve dealt with my elezen’s weird stance for the past 3 years so I’ll survive

After seeing their customization options, even I can admit they do look pretty good.
Some thoughts. One, they still look a little too kpop in game for my taste. Like seriously to an artificial degree of "pretty". Two, the height thing is a little weird but overall meh. Most FViera don't play at max height. Three, hats and the lack of. GGs if you got what you wanted and sorry of you didn't. Hope it doesn't impact dev time and was worth the investment.
Viera never had tails, the lack of claws and bunny feet is mostly chalked up to this game being an mmo ( has to be compatible with armor or it'll be another wow troll shoe situtation) and the fact that everybody wears slippers.the height is a little disappointing but i'll live the one thing that generally disappoints me with Viera design as a whole (this is female included) Is that they are just pretty elf with rabbit ears. I wish they tried to do a bit more like at minimum include rabbit tails maybe some fluff in places claws etc. but that's just me nit picking at what is a bit of a trope that I wish Final would at least tried a little harder on.
I like them. I love my bun boy alt I'm glad those who love them love them.
(And yes before someone points out that im playing a hyur saying my nit pick is the bunnies are just human with animal ears my character is a hyur cause there ported from a dnd character XD there is nothing wrong with humans or playing them either.)
If max height female Viera were the same height as max height female Roegadyn, and the males were 3-5 inches shorter, people who wanted a handsome tall male race would've been totally fine with it.well it‘s okay to be disappointed. we‘ve been all sitting in the same boat for the past 2 years. it‘s okay that people are not happy with the design.
i myself am happy with face 1 and i am happy they are not much shorter than the females (personally i would have preferred them to be the same height, but they look awesome so it‘s no dealbreaker for me)
but i understand it could be for other people. i also don‘t think they have a sort of complex because they are shorter than their female counterpart. it‘s just some people wanted „generally“ a taller race, which has nothing to do with them being smaller than the females. for me the males are still tall - taller than the most popular races - i‘m still going to tower over hyurs, miqos and other popular races - even female viera since most of the people tend to play them at the lowest height possible.
and i need to keep reminding people both camps have been very adamant of these few centimeters - be it shorter or taller than the females. it‘s not only the people that wanted them taller being so admant about those few centimeters.
It's not that males being shorter than females that's the issue.
The issue is that if male Viera turned out shorter than the females, that would make them around Midlander height.
Some people believe male Midlanders are short because they are outsized by the grand majority of the other male races. Some people believe that male Midlanders are average or tall because in real life, their height would be considered average or tall.
Funnily enough, after the benchmark was released, I actually found some posts on Twitter and Reddit where people complained about the male Viera being too tall.
There are people who want them to be really really short, like shorter than male Miqo'te. So for them, only being 2 inches shorter than the females is still too tall for them.
For me personally, I wanted them to be between Highlander and Elezen in height (because I wanted another tall handsome male option besides Elezen).
But, after messing around with the customization and such, I'm actually okay with their height. Honestly, 6'1" (in-game) is not too bad because as many people have pointed out, the most popular races fall under 6'1" (catgirls, lizardgirls, catboys, etc). So you can play a max height male Viera and you'll end up being taller than most players anyway.
And let's face it. Despite the seemingly popular idea of "dominant giant Viera women" that I've seen on Twitter (like that one crazy popular fanart), most players who play female Viera set their height to minimum. Whether this is because it's an old-fashioned view of "women should be dainty and petit" or not I don't know. But I think it's safe to say that if you play max height male Viera, you'll be taller than most female Viera players and average height female Viera npcs.
Thank god. At least I can now play safely during early access without worrying about server issues, since population is ris- decreasing because of bun bois!
I'll turn into one myself day 1 btw.

I tried so hard... but it's just impossible to create an even halfway "masculine" looking face. They totally went overboard with the uber feminine look. Like literally, just take away the beard options and whatever you create would perfectly work as a head for a female Viera.
I'm a bit sad that they didn't even bother trying to offer some variety in that regard (like for male Miqo where you have feminine but also masculine looking facial options and hairstyles).
Anyway...at least now I can put an end to that topic and rest assured, that I will never want to play a male Viera.
