Outside of the strange beards and lack of hairstyles, I do like them overall. I could make one that I really liked.
I don't think I will be doing the switch however. (or if I do it will be temporary)
Also not convinced about the voices but it is always hard to tell with the 5 limited emotes...

Over 6ft IS tall...but for some reason in this game 6ft is treated like average Height, and 7ft is considered tall. I dont get it myself...
But then I also think some of the outrage is that the Females are (just slightly) taller, and there is some weird thing about "Males are suppose to be taller then Women" even though there are cases that the reverse can happen. Especially in the animal kingdom.

lol this is what I was thinking but the growing rage I’m seeing would have me thinking I missed it when suddenly everyone was born 6ft tall in the world and I’m just some random shorty walking around. Like I can’t even begin understand the male to female height bit. And on top of that we’re playing a fantasy game and you would think it wouldn’t... be such an issue..

Perhaps SE was one step ahead and knew this player base wouldn’t be able to handle it if they dared to make them even shorter then what we got now … that would’ve been hilarious. I’m not against what people were asking for on either side, since I wasn’t really caring about them before. But when one side goes out their way to provide thoughts and examples of what they like while the other didn’t match their energy, what exactly was people expecting? Just more good times and frustration I guess.

well it‘s okay to be disappointed. we‘ve been all sitting in the same boat for the past 2 years. it‘s okay that people are not happy with the design.
i myself am happy with face 1 and i am happy they are not much shorter than the females (personally i would have preferred them to be the same height, but they look awesome so it‘s no dealbreaker for me)
but i understand it could be for other people. i also don‘t think they have a sort of complex because they are shorter than their female counterpart. it‘s just some people wanted „generally“ a taller race, which has nothing to do with them being smaller than the females. for me the males are still tall - taller than the most popular races - i‘m still going to tower over hyurs, miqos and other popular races - even female viera since most of the people tend to play them at the lowest height possible.

and i need to keep reminding people both camps have been very adamant of these few centimeters - be it shorter or taller than the females. it‘s not only the people that wanted them taller being so admant about those few centimeters.

In my experience, most people don't like to be too tall... especially when it comes to female characters. Having been around the game for a long time, now, I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the most popular height setting for all female races is the bare minimum possible.
