People get too hooked on there being a "proper way" to do things. Harder endgame mechanics are basically a puzzle to solve and all your abilities, tank immunes, lb3, stacking shields, safe spots, knockback immunes, ect, are part of the toolkit you're given to solve those puzzles in the most efficient way possible. We would not have tank/heal lb3 or tank immunes if we weren't supposed to be creative with them.

If it trivialized a fight too far it would count as an exploit and the devs would fix it. But I like that players can be creative in games and have the tools to discover ways of executing a fight that even the developers may not have realized. I feel it's healthy for a MMO to have a little "cheese" potential from time to time, otherwise it would be scripted to the point of blandness.

required makes it uninteresting now as said if we had more opportunities to like Byakko EX be better

ive only used Tank LB if people miss a tower in Diamond ex mechanic bandaid
but i guess its still better than healers required for one fight and just used as insurance?

Cheese usually implies doing something that is technically within the rules of the game but is also what many players would consider unfair or outside of the spirit of the encounter.

Using tank LB3 during a fight is absolutely not cheese, especially if a tank LB3 could have been used that way originally and simply wasn't because of the required DPS check. You might as well say you're cheesing the encounter with high DPS.

You havent read what I typed. When the fight released that tank LB WAS NOT POSSIBLE, people that did the fight in the release had no access to this "being smart and using the tools provided" so you had to execute mechanics. Now you suddenly don't need to do those mechanics anymore just because the fight got significantly easier. The intended design and difficult of the fight exist for when the fight is released, when you ignore mechanics that were not possible in the intended design then yea its cheese.

That depends, if it was impossible to have such a high dps that you wont need the dps lb3 when the fight released and now its 100% doable and consistent just because the dps check is non existent anymore its cheese. Obviously the devs wont make a design where you can ignore everything with a tank lb3. But the intended design only goes to a certain point in time. After that the fight is not the same and never will be

Work smarter not harder. If the game allows it, do it.

The only way that's gonna work is if there's attacks that have a specific marker with them (like the eye or something else) that if you do not use Tank LB3 you will wipe because it deals over 1M damage to each player. The only way to make sure that works if by fast generation of the LB gauge in specific parts of the instances so it's impossible to get to the forced LB phase without getting the LB because you did too much DPS to the boss, as scaling has shown that to be a problem.

having someone die so you can skip a mechanic is a form of cheesing so yes you are literally praying 1 healer survives so u can revive them that is cheese 100%
