"Cheese strats" is doing something, in often cases tank LB3, to negate or otherwise trivialize a mechanic.

Take Grand Octet, for example. By using tank LB3, you trivialize almost the entire trio since the hardest aspect of the mechanic is coordination. E8S is another example with tanks using their invulns for Morn Afh. Instead of being a giant heal bomb, you completely ignore the whole mechanic.

Simply put, you're putting negative connotation on something that isn't intrinsically negative. Tank LB3 is cheesing a mechanic in the same sense Goodbye World is. They just aim to go about it in a different way. More often than not, strats involving death are called "sack strats" to better denote the difference. And they're typically avoided when the current is relevant. Nisi is the only exception due to the sheer difficulty of A4S. But in the age of FFlogs and parsing, you'll never convince PF to do a sack strat on relevant content.

A cheese strat is when you trivialize/skip entire mechanics and thus trivialize/skip the entire point of difficult content by removing the difficulty. Most raiders love doing it for that sweet efficiency since they're there for the rewards, not for the content.

I think it means water closet or wash closet. Another word for restroom.

Because if you did that you would die later in the fight. What part of "wasn't doable at the time" didn't you comprehend?

Power-creep and overgearing will eventually catch up to any encounter in the game rendering some previously unskippable mechanics virtually meaningless. It's not that people are smart for coming up with them, it's more like... Duh!? Of course people will choose the path of least resistance.

Also what's even the point of arguing about semantics? Do you feel like your clear is less valuable if people call your strat "cheese" rather than something else? Lul.
