Viera and Hrothgar Megathread

Yep. I just wanted them to look a bit older, and more masculine. Like I said prior, I'd have liked to have seen more options of this sort for male viera. Like more scars, stubble, an older looking face, etc.

You a person who never intended on playing a male viera is in every male viera thread complaining about their lack of masculinity…

Fact is there was a hole missing in the current line up of races that viera men fit perfectly.

Here let me help.
First a lot of people like myself wanted a race that hit the “elf” fantasy being slim and beautiful..
Elezen are ok but in this game they have a different fantasy more of a vampire esc fantasy.. at least the men.

There was no other male race outside of humans that could be 5’10

There was a desire to do a reverse Au ra.. male rabbits are smaller than females in nature.

lore wise they are more like assassins and snipers.. so being thin and not monstrously tall is helpful

And don’t give me they don’t fit the lore crap. Fran wore a metal bikini and high heels while being pretty bad ass.

So they actually fit the lore of the race.. being bad ass beauties

Even if SE had released a male character I liked I wouldn't switch off female, for that matter I would also lose access to all my outfit pieces (purchased and otherwise) that is for female. My alt is just a novelty - I have bought fantasias for it, but I never actually play it.

I am quite aware some players had wanted a "reverse au ra" but male viera are only like 2 inches shorter. I assumed the wanted "reverse au ra" actually meant around a foot shorter, and actually, if I recall correctly, that meant shorter than male miqo'te even. Unfortunately, if any players had wanted that - it doesn't look to have been delivered.

Viera (both male and female) aren't "monstrously" tall either, 6'1 or 6'3 is just tall, in my book.

Unfortunately, I do not think they look cool, nor do I think they are "beauties". I have my own interpretation of the lore, and I dislike their appearance. I had thought I was allowed to voice my opinion on this public forum.

Opinions are like butts, (almost) everyone has one.

Nobodies opinion is any more special than another, and people are free to pick apart any holes in reasoning that they feel might be there.

I never stated that. As I gave context in a prior post: those platforms are based on upvotes, likes, shares. What is popular on those platforms are what is on top, and what I assume SE sees the most of. I simply have a difference of opinion to what's popular there. I wasn't aware I was being rude, just because I had imagined male viera differently. It's a game race, and this is a game's forum, it doesn't actually matter that much to me - whether I post about it frequently or not. It's passing time; equivalent to chatting.
