Also, posted this as a thread a while ago, but I wish there were easier difficulty versions of Stages 20, 30, and 31 of the Masked Carnival so people can get on with the story, as while other jobs allow you to choose a lower difficulty setting after dying/ failing a solo duty, you cannot do that as Blue Mage.

Pandemic limited the amount of content we could get. Devs then decided to give more priority to certain stuff over other to please a vocal and loud minority.

Yes, I'm sure they could have all those working on armor-rigging instead work on creating a cohesive toolkit for a new limited job or mechanics for a new Ultimate...

Wait, who am I kidding -- being a limited job already excuses one from needing a remotely cohesive toolkit.

But anyways, no, those resources could not likely have gone into making an Ultimate, nor does knowledge or rigging suddenly allow for the remaking of each and every hat for ears longer or less uniquely furry than those of Miqo'te.

I know this has been requested many times but I still believe a duty set for magic DPS would be a great solution to the BLU “limited situation” maybe customizable spell slots based on spells that fit that slot criteria to keep the BLU flavor. As for the existing BLU overpowered design they could just continue to limit it by 10 levels.

So how could this work?
1.) Beat a level 70 or 80 quest that is only unlocked when all required spell criteria for the spells slots have been obtained including a brand new limit break spell such as Demi-Ultima.
2.) Talk to a BLU NPC that is capable of tapping into the aether of your soul crystal allowing you to switch from Blue Mage (Seal) (10 levels below cap) or Blue Mage (Unseal) granting you the duty set.

We know it’s possible to implement a duty set they have done it for PVP and with performance If BRD could have the best of both worlds why can’t BLU.
