Also Eureka. Eureka should be the land of blu. Especially with the elemental affinities.I like Blu for what it is now.
The only thing missing is a better structure for its 'endgame'.
I don't need Allied Seals anymore so there's very little incentive to me to do the weekly carnivale star challenges or run the log objectives. I feel that a bigger Gil reward or the latest tomestone as reward for those could be better.
Let Blue Mages solo the deep dungeons, and make a specific scoreboard for them. Also with an unique achievement, would not invalidate the challenge to do as other jobs (which would still be harder). Just this would add a TON of shelf life to the job. It's even possible to make it actually more challenging if they disable Pomanders for Blue Mages soloing them. Heck, they can even add new blue magic spells in deeper levels of those dungeons.
I'd love to see improvements to blu, but improvements do not include homogenization with other dps jobs. Make blue weirder, not more normal.

Unless the only thing they like about it is having a playflow made up of a dozen CDs, between which they spam a single key, or their success being fully and instantly rewarded solely via RNG... no, there's nothing about making BLU a full job that need take away the things people like about it.
BLU got more content thanks to it's limited job status than it would have if it was ever a normal job.
They did a fantastic job with blu and it's very fun. I am looking forward to more limited jobs.

Personally I was hoping that EW would add 1 more limited job like the universally requested Beastmaster and then they could make a Limited Roulette where you can only queue as BLU/Beastmaster for some fun random duty experience.
But alas, Male Bunny boy was top priority content of the most importance for the devs requested by a few ERPers, and thus no time for a limited job for EW.
Ignoring the "reason" you are giving, BLU was released in the middle of an expansion, not at the launch, so there not being a limited job at launch means nothing.
Shb is over and we didn't get a new Limited Job in the middle of the expansion so idk what point you were trying to make.
I'm sure this isn't your intent, but your original post reads like you're saying that it's popular and that's nice, but you aren't interested so SQEX should change it.I see blue mages everywhere - it's obviously a very popular playstyle. And I really think the idea of the job itself is nifty (even if I think Gau ultimately did it better). But there's very little motivation for me to even give these guys a try when they can't access half the game's content. I mean... what's the point, exactly? You get to do really cool stuff but only when it doesn't count? That seems... unfortunate.
they should just add a 'true blue mage' job crystal (which would be the limited job)
then you'd unlock 'blue mage' by hitting cap and having all spells unlocked, aetherical mimicry becomes a role action and you must use it before you are able to queue. you would also be provided with a template of spells for tank/healer/dps.
blue mage is my favorite job in the entire final fantasy franchise, and it just feels like a kick in the nuts to be given it but also with the caveat of it being relegated to side content. it's not right and it's not fair
Stop asking for this. It's not a good suggestion or request.

"I thought that my invincible power would hold the world captive, leaving me in a freedom undisturbed. Thus night and day I worked at the chain with huge fires and cruel hard strokes. When at last the work was done and the links were complete and unbreakable, I found that it held me in its grip." - Rabindranath Tagore
So you want to turn BLU into ‘just another caster DPS’? (Translate: Homogenization.)
No, just no.
