    Because of its uhhh...'watery' effect my first thought was UPGRADED FLUID AURA?!!

    I like to stay optimistic, just because it's a barrier doesn't necessarily means it's a shield, right? it could be something like a debuff immunity bubble, or a debuff to anyone that hits the target, idk

    uhhhhhhh...*sweats*

    Divine Benison also has a bit of a watery effect, with bubbly distortions a water filling animation and a hexagonal pattern. But I am with you, hoping that its not just only a visual upgrade to a pre-existing ability but isntead adds some interesting mechanical element to WHM.

    dare i hope that whm is getting its elements back?

    bah who am I kidding, time will tell. From what I've seen, I am concerned that we are not going to get any fixes for the myriad gameplay problems healers have been suffering.

    I wonder if they are turning Divine beni into a more protect+heal instead of a shield like an inverted stone skin, at least that what it looked like to me.

    Also am i crazy or did anyone else see the Mch weapon turn from a big pistol to a rifle for an attack.

    And Reapers LB3 is genie hunter from soul eater calling it now lol

    If they really want to make Divine Benison (and it's potentially upgraded skill) unique is to allow the shield to HEAL after it breaks so it can better fit the "Pure" healer dynamic that they are going with. Right now, the shield absorbs damage equivalent to 500 potency. Perhaps when the shield breaks, it heals a certain amount of potency.

    My opinion though. Don't take it too seriously.

    You can't but you are able to tell that 1 of 2 things have happened

    Either
    A: they updated visuals on existing skills which almost never happens so yeah.

    Or

    B: Each healer is getting a new ogcd healing/shielding skill in EW. This is by far the more likely scenario of the two.



    Now ask yourself do current healers need more ogcd healing power of any kind when we spend upwards of 80-100% of our gcds on damage spells.

    Ogcds allow for that level of dps skill spam adding more power to them will just make that worse.

    They want us to be healing focused by the way yet every design decision on healers has been doing the opposite effect we are currently our most dps centric we have ever been and yet we are also at our most bloated with healing options and deficit with damage options.


    Inb4 goalpost moves to don't know what content be like so I then point my finger to Stormblood and Shadowbringers for the point nothing changes in content and how we have progressed as healers this far.

    The cycle continues ....

    I can understand maybe 1 new dps skill for each healer but some of y’all act like y’all want 5-6 dps skills to have a whole healer dps rotation. That’s not gonna happen. Those 5 scholar dot days are over. We have allot of healing abilities because we are healers. I agree that some heals can be removed and replaced with more support like skills but not dps. People get to focused on it then cause deaths by not healing. I may get hate for this but I agree that healers shouldn’t have many dps options. Also I do agree that the damage scaling could be higher so we can heal a bit more. I don’t mind the 1 button dps spam but I know others want a little bit more and that’s fine. 1 new dps skill for each. I can get with that. Just not 4-5 new dps skills. No no no.

    Yeah all healers should get an aoe dot. I agree with that. Kinda tired of putting dots on every mob individually. So I agree with you there.
