This game doesn't do enough to help people clear Ex/Savage content.

I can actually see this in line with Goji's thought process. I recall disagreeing with him about a year ago in other threads. Therein he stated that offering any unsolicited advice to struggling players was rude and shouldn't be done without their expressed permission in public, or unless you're approaching them in private post-dungeon.

I can see wanting Trusts as a means of learning the fight in a similar line of thought, as it "privatizes" the learning struggle, even if it's missing the mark on what it is that makes the content difficult in the first place (the group working together consistently).

The person who thinks putting some effort to obtain essence for DR is a waste of time of course will think putting some effort to make a practice party a waste of time.

Running with trusts is generally more difficult than with a decent group, so I'm actually asking for a weaker group that I can hard carry purely for the challenge of it; while the rest of you keep running Savage content on sissy mode. There, your little tryhard elitist comment has been one-upped.

I’m starting to see why it sometimes might be difficult to break into endgame when seven other people need to participate in the activity.

SE could design trust AI to be able to absolutely destroy every Savage fight way more efficiently than any player team could ever hope to. Making an AI perfect is easy; AI can detect incoming mechanics on a packet level and perform the calculations to determine the absolute perfect response to everything in fractions of a second. FFXIV mechanics are basically elementary school levels of math and pattern recognition calculations that an AI could perform thousands of in a second.

My point still stands, you think they could design Trusts to easily outperform players, but everything we've seen from Trusts so far is that they need a very specific environment to even function correctly and then still fail to do so regularly. I highly doubt that this is "on purpose", because the only intentionally designed flaw they need for their current purpose is their low damage output.

And if you still don't think that their AI is an issue just look at their predecessors, the grand company squadron. They're only available in very few of the old dungeons, which is probably the case because those dungeons were not specifically designed for the bots, leading to the conclusion that simply just moving through a dungeon is already an issue for them.
Then on top of that even in those dungeons where they're available they regularly get stuck on terrain, are incredibly slow in their reactions despite you having actual buttons to command them, can't execute any mechanics and needed both their dps and their damage mitigation buffed to be of any use at all because they stand in literally every aoe in existence.

It is very unlikely that the squadron functions the way it does because SE made them that dumb on purpose.

Nah dude, that's just how strong an impression you made with your post, no need to stalk you to smell the stink. If your objective is to standout, congratulation you succeed. I personally wouldn't want to stand out the manner you do, but I understand in the facebook era to some people any kind of a notoriety is welcome

Oh yea, sitting in PF for 3 hours just to get a group together that disbands in 15 minutes is one of the greatest social experiences you'll have in any MMORPG. There's a reason the vast majority of players don't bother with Savage, and it's not because it's even remotely difficult; it's because most people can't get any good practice in because of how inconvenient and awful your options for breaking into Savage content are.

I think most people who already have their statics situated don't want the rest of the players to be able to get a foot in the door for Savage tier raiding. The more people that can actually learn and clear it the less special they feel.

Actually people dont get into savage for two reasons.
1) toxic casuals that classify anything harder than normal mode trials/raids as "TOO HARDCORE I HAVE A LIFE YA KNOW!"
2) NA doesn't use Duty Finder for raiding. Just exclusively PF. At least the JP folks have a better mindset there. PF for learning, DF for farming. NA handicaps itself as a community for whatever arbitrary reason.

I only post my opinions and engage with anyone who responds. If people want to follow me around from thread to thread, bringing up old discussions I've had, then I'll at least acknowledge the fanfare out of respect for all of my most obsessed fans.

Beyond that I don't really care. I will say it's moderately more entertaining than if my time here went mostly unnoticed, like what happens with most people who post on forums.
