And then you replied like that comment was directed to you, "I don’t mean a literal femroe slider"

Connecting those dots it was obvious that the question was meant to be as a joke.

I used to make changes to the OP at people's request, but stopped doing that for a few reasons. But whatever I changed upon request is still there.

And it's completely fair to think their arguments against a Femroe scale of a slider makes 0 sense.
Personally I don't think they'll get such an extensive slider.
But that's not up to me to judge, I could be wrong.
But I'm leaving that decision to SE as they obviously got a vision on how they want their very first Male Vieras to be portrayed.
I don't think they'd leave such a big event in FF history to be decided by the players anyways.
But that's just how I see it.
I will wait with patience and see how they decided to make them later when the Benchmark hits.
Or maybe we'll get more preview clips/screenshots that makes it easier to see before the Benchmark.

Just so you all know, the femroe slider is not something Amnmaat came up with just now, I was here when the thread was created, as many others, and I'm sure many of us remember the discussion about the slider, we even managed to make Senn put it in the OP, not sure if it's still there tho.

The height discussion has been going on since the start, and the wide slider have been proposed many times in this thread since the start, the feedback exists for a long time, it could have been considered and implemented a long time ago, or may be not and SE just followed their view when creating them without considering our feedback at all.

Saying that the slider won't happen is as wrong or right as saying it will, if SE listened about adding the race they could have also listened about the slider because of how divided this community is in the matter.

Quite so, there were several people, myself included, pushing for this early on, to help resolve the arguments over their height. Personally, I believe they probably have put them in a similar height range to female Viera (i.e. between highlander/elezen), but there's no way to tell for sure at present.

That's some serious ad hominen; call anything a joke when you're wrong. Even worse when they lie about what you said. For all we know the femroe slider is already a design feature for male Viera. As others honorably acknowledged, it would be quite an elegant solution to the divide that exists in the male Viera camp.

Hopefully we get screenshots yeah. Isn’t too much of a stretch considering we did get screenshots before benchmark of new job actions(iirc it was a picture of archaeotania fight). The thing that makes me think they’ll get an extensive slider is that they implemented them purely due to the amount of outcry from the playerbase. It’s a very delicate subject so i imagine they’ll be a bit more attentive to the playerbase’s wants in this regard. Honestly personally i don’t care either way. I don’t really like playing as taller races but they look so amazing i’m sure i’ll love it lol. It would just be a plus if it turns out the slider is extensive as it’ll make a lot of people happy.

I kind of agree with this. The model is already made and the graphics team already set the height. It's not going to be changed now.
I'm not really trying to stifle the conversation though. By all means talk about your height preferences and whatnot, that's fine.

It's true that SE has done more than they originally planned to try and make the players happy by adding the M Viera even as it will just add more to their workload.
But what if SE decides to do the model their own way and not how the players wish it to be.
Will the players be able to accept SE's decision and be happy with it or will people start complaining and asking/demanding that they need to make changes to it?
As of now the vibes I get is that there are people who are so dead set on one thing that they won't be happy unless it turns out the way they want it to be.
Wouldn't that be ungrateful to SE and all the extra hard work they put up to bring us the Male Viera?

I fully expect that when the benchmark hits and people finds out how they are there will be those who aren't happy with it and will start making threads about it saying SE didn't listen and don't care what the players wants.

yoshi n co are making male viera how they've imagined male viera should look in xiv. The only "compromise" we're due for is if we're individually willing to play as one when we get to see the full scope of what they serve us.

Im in regardless of their height. nice starter set, good run animation, a hairstyle I can already see myself working into glams? anything past that is a bonus. once benchmark drops its really just finding the skintone closest to my main's current so the fanta isn't too jarring haha

May I ask what those reasons were? There were a lot of great suggestions, and fanart that could have made it into the OP over the course of this thread, in my opinion.
