Another Eastern Mogstation Glam?

Thank God. This may be a Japanese game, but I'd rather see less of it. We already had an Eastern expansion in Stormblood that includes plenty of Japanese, Chinese, Mongolian inspired armor sets. I don't see any problem here.

Exactly what I am saying! We were already experiencing dying, cut, delayed content, then they release two limited races, and then when they say they supposedly can't add any new races they add male viera, and promise female hrothgar that (at most) I'd say two people would play! So even less, than we would have gotten overall!

They worked on Male Viera/Fem Hroth between other tasks when they had down time at work. Nothing was lost or cut because of the new races. Yoshi-P didn't even want them working on it; it was a project they took on themselves, like flying in ARR zones. I wish people would stop screaming "MALE VIERA/FEM HROTH MEANS WE'RE LOSING MORE CONTENT WAHHHHHHHH" because it's not true.

I think my biggest thing is.. I would 100% drop 18$ for a outfit. If it was account wide. I have 24$ mounts and they are account wide so ... why is a 18$ or 7$ emote..?

My other thought.. Yes I know they have to have cash shops for the other versions of the game. But at this point I kind of want them to add a system to where you get 1-2 dollars worth in Crysta each month you are subbed or something. We no longer have veteran rewards and when they did there didn't seem to be a plan to add new ones.

If they are going for money from the US servers here rewarding players even a dollar here and there for being subbed would keep most subbed just to build up the cash. *shrugs* just a thought from when I played other mmos and they rewarded you for being subbed with cash shop currency. Sure it took a few months or longer to buy anything but it still felt nice you didn't have to spend extra (even if you were staying subbed to a game you hardly played).

The problem is exactly why you stated. There’s plenty of eastern glamour on mogstation, but there’s then, very little in the actual game. As for content, it’s separate teams that work on the races as well. I’m not saying we didn’t lose content because of them, because we most certainly did, but content has been dying,cut,delayed since 5.0. I also don’t see how hard it would be to say yknow what, we didn’t have the time to make an end of expansion glamour like we normally do,so let’s put this mogstation outfit in game. How they do it idc, event, ishgard, msq. Just put it in.

Content has been on a steady decline since the halfway point of Stormblood. I would not be surprised if we end up losing another dungeon or even seeing trials being cut.

So are they going to be fitting gear every single patch in their "free time" then? Couldn't they have worked on some of these "eastern glamours" in their "free time", instead of male viera? What about female viera hair? Male hrothgar heads?

Does anyone honestly believe that the addition of male viera, and female hrothgar (one day) - the equivalent of one more full race - has no bearing on future scheduling, resource management, workload, etc. of SE?

Honestly i don’t think it’s as big of an impact as people are making it out to be. People seem to want to give them excuses for it and then drag on those excuses. Like people blame covid so much for the lack of content this expansion when...we were already missing tons of content before it hit...

I actually really like this one. With some alterations (namely the head and pants) I could make it work pretty well for my SAM. I hope to get this at some point.

I am simply referencing Yoshida in interviews. SE are the ones stating continuously how difficult everything is to add. This expansion has lacked content, and they had to push back ultimate until.. what next year(?), yet they will come out with tons of novelty content, and the equivalent of a player race that supposedly was impossible to add, as ShB launch was their "last chance" to add any new races. I do suspect things aren't as bad as SE makes it out to be. Yet here we are. Maybe 6 months of content drought and a forever delayed expansion cycle is exactly what they needed.
