So are they going to be fitting gear every single patch in their "free time" then? Couldn't they have worked on some of these "eastern glamours" in their "free time", instead of male viera? What about female viera hair? Male hrothgar heads?

Does anyone honestly believe that the addition of male viera, and female hrothgar (one day) - the equivalent of one more full race - has no bearing on future scheduling, resource management, workload, etc. of SE?

Again what you seem to be missing is that the mogstation team is a separate team here. They're not the ones in charge of male Viera/fem Hroth. You are so determined to blame all of their issues on the development of races that you're missing the forest for the trees. No one at SE said "Oh okay so the graphics team decided to work on Male Viera instead so we're going to cut X Y Z content to make up the difference." That's ridiculous. Certainly it will impact future gear design and development, but not by as much as you're thinking. Male Hyur, Miqo, and Au Ra already share the same body type just scaled, and from first glance it appears that male Viera will utilize the same frame (speculation on my part, but there you have it). It's NOT something the mogstation glam team would have any say in, nor would the development have any impact on at this point in time.

As for hats, hairs, and helms, I don't have an answer for you. I will concede it's 100% a frustrating situation, but we know nothing of their workflow and current priorities. Maybe it's easier to fix once they finished male Viera/fem Hroth; we don't know how long the development took, or when they started on it. Maybe they figured the demand for male Viera/fem Hroth was higher than the demand for hats/hairs. Maybe, I don't know, they're already working on hats/hairs/helms because it's on their official workload and it's a bigger task than remodeling Hyur bodies with bunny heads? I can't say for certain.

All I know is, this catastrophizing does nothing productive. No amount of whining will change the fact that the development of male Viera has nothing to do with this conversation and you bringing it up just makes you look like a fool.

I am simply referencing Yoshida in interviews. SE are the ones stating continuously how difficult everything is to add. This expansion has lacked content, and they had to push back ultimate until.. what next year(?), yet they will come out with tons of novelty content, and the equivalent of a player race that supposedly was impossible to add, as ShB launch was their "last chance" to add any new races. I do suspect things aren't as bad as SE makes it out to be. Yet here we are. Maybe 6 months of content drought and a forever delayed expansion cycle is exactly what they needed.

How many times do people have to tell you this for you to understand? Different teams work at different paces. No one knows the exact impact it has no, but we can go with what we DO know. What we do know is that content already was lacking before covid happened. I’m tired of seeing people use it as an excuse for certain things when it was already a thing before it even existed. There’s not massive amounts of stuff to do in the game. What, relics? I completed Zadnor in a day. Yes it is SE’s fault if i can burn through the relic that quickly because they could 100% design it better. Make it rain event? Wow riveting. Ff14 event? Already seen it. None of that is new. I don’t see it so much as whining as it is pointing out obvious problems with the game. What new content do we have this month exactly btw?

Didn't they say that money earned from the cash shop helped fund the additional EU servers and some other stuff? So I guess its safe to say some of that money went into the upcoming Australian servers?

We're getting 5.57 later this month or early next month, and 5.58 in late July/mid August. Make it Rain in July, Moonfire and Rising in August, FFXV in September. Press tour will likely come in October, so we'll get more info for Endwalker there. If you've seen these events before, great! Not all players have, though.

Also, no, it certainly is NOT SE's fault if you burn through content in a single day. Not everyone can or wants to do that. "Design it better" by doing what, exactly? Adding more of the already tedious grind steps that everyone on the forums complain about? The way people whine here on the forums, SE is damned if they do, damned if they don't. As far as touching on the lack of content, I'd really like some examples here because I highly, highly doubt you've done every single piece of content the game has to offer.

Have you maxed all your jobs? Have you maxed out BLU and gotten all the spells? What about Masked Carnivale, have you completed every stage? Have you completed the relic for every single weapon in Bozja? Okay, cool. What about Eureka? HW relics? ARR relics? All the Hildebrand quests? The Scholasticate quests? Have you completed your Triple Triad deck? There are over a dozen Beast Tribes, have you maxed them all? Have you cleared all floors of POTD and HOH? Have you completed your crafting logs? Gathering logs? I could keep going.

Just because the content is not new doesn't mean the content is not there, and just because you don't like what gets added, doesn't mean it's necessarily bad. You can't say "there's no content" because that's a bold-faced lie. It's one thing if some of the content is stuff that you don't enjoy, because okay, fine, that's valid. But the content is there. It's not an excuse for anything; there's no excuse needed. I get that SE is a corporation, but at the end of the day the developers are only human, too. People in the forums tend to forget that. They have demands coming at them from all angles and they're not going to be able to please everyone. I'll be the first to admit I have my gripes about some of the decisions they make and things I'd like to see changed. But for crying out loud, have a little compassion for the humans behind the screen.

ETA: Additionally, the coronavirus situation in Japan is a lot worse than in the States, assuming you're a NA player based on your home world. Vaccine rollout has been slow because of bottlenecks in the supply line and they keep getting spikes in cases, resulting in further lockdowns. It sickens me to see people saying "it's not as bad as SE makes it out to be" by basing it on the US situation.

Exactly. People see it as a cash grab, but in reality, this game is expensive to upkeep, let alone expand. Tunnel vision to the max, I swear.

First of all, i didn’t say we have no content. So please, read before putting words in someone’s mouth. Second of all, it is SE’s fault if they make their content very diluted. Instead of giving multiple ways to do the relic in the actual relic instance, it’s either do fates, or do old raids. Examples of lack of content? Where to begin. Gnb and Dnc weapons being cut. They got 0 primal weapons for level 50 60 and 70 barring shinryu.We got dungeons cut, deep dungeon cut, Hildibrand questline cut. No allied beast tribe quest. No end of expansion glamour. If we compare to stormblood, no new housing ward(ishgard is 6.1). No voiced alli raids and no voiced 3 trials questline.No second Ultimate. No second pvp set.Vetaran rewards being cut. 90% of the stuff you listed is from other other expansions, not this one, which is what we’re talking about. I’m very tired of people blindly defending SE, and happily being spoon fed every little piece of content we get. People are allowed to vent their frustrations. Especially if they’re well justified(which they are in this case). You can chalk it off to tunnel vision all you want. It’s called giving criticism. Which btw, is how companies hear their audience. If people aren’t allowed to give criticism, then they won’t know what the playerbase wants. Grow thicker skin.

Didn't in one interview Yoshi state that a lot of resources went into the new race/s which impact on the other part of the game? Think there was a link to it in MPK thread.
And I don't buy it that they did it all on their free time.
