People are free to do what they want if the content allows it, but I do think that they should know that they could be doing more damage to contribute, or at the very least use an essence that increases HP or something. Something is better than nothing, especially when the content is scaled for essence use. That's my entire point at least. I won't harass anyone in game about it. Heck, I probably wouldn't say anything. But it's obvious what an essenceless run looks like compared to a run where everyone is decked out in some sort of essence.

Nothing wrong with informing, and I am aware that most of the raid using essences vs. not using essences makes a real difference. 1 person doesn't, though, especially if that person is a DPS, because skirmisher isn't the massive DPS increase that the tank and healer essences are.

What you should try to understand, though, is a lot of people are essentially doing Bozja because it's holding their relic hostage. Expecting real commitment is unrealistic; it may just be enough that the relic is keeping this content alive for the people who like it, even if it's doing so by forcing the non-committed to grit their teeth and bear whatever minimum they have to suffer through.

Yes, and when players largely aren't using essences in the majority of DR runs, the potential grind becomes around 15 hours PER RELIC, for this step alone! As opposed to what could be half that amount of time! I keep getting burned out trying to do DR for the rest of my relics, because I can barely get 3 or 4 runs PER NIGHT. It'll take up most of my playtime (the amount I can bear of DR), for that little amount of runs! I just assume other players who are going through the same grind would want to shorten that experience.

Here it becomes a macro issue. You seem like the type who would farm essences in order to bring 100% every time, because you're a good little boyscout. So, you farm away, essence up every time and look at where you are; you can still BARELY get a few runs a night because your specific contribution didn't really matter.

Now maybe the fact that you weren't "part of the problem" keeps you warm through that wasted effort, but I don't really care about "the principle of the thing." I'm not wasting more time in Bozja, especially when I know it won't realistically make a difference for me on a micro scale. I'm in this for my relic, and so is most everyone else.

I never expect it. Doesn't stop me from feeling a certain way though.
