New Scions (?)

I would like to see the main Scions "retire", so to speak, without actually going away entirely. Let them stay in background roles, like Raubahn and the city leaders, but put the main focus on a new cast. Maybe the twins can stay at the Rising Stones to run the main group, Y'shtola could take over Matoya's cave and be our magical secret-keeper, Thancred could go back to being our wandering informant who pops up with plot-relevant info once in a while, and Urianger.......well, he's already spent half the game out of focus anyway, so I dunno. Have him pop in and out with cryptic advice or something.

As for new characters.....honestly, I just want some visual diversity. Aside from G'raha (and the WoL, depending on the player), the major Scions are all pale fair-haired people. Give us a more distinct cast. An Au Ra or a Hrothgar or a Viera.

We need a “Slice of Life” expansion. No big world ending events, just more time to get to know characters in their daily lives... but with added drama! Tataru gets invited to an Iron Chef/Food wars competition which can somehow snowball into her mastering summoning. Hildebrand finds his way to the rising stones and uncovers a mystery about something or other and changes one of the Scions lives forever. Ryne and Gaia start a magical girl group and set off to further revive the world.

Ya know... just random stuff for all the characters and no lvl increase just lots of story and glamours. Help move the story along a few years with a time skip at some point.

It does not surprise me that some of the Scions will retire. The main purpose of them is to kill off the primals. Once that mission is complete, the Grand Company of Eozoria will be able to handle the rest as an organization. Any Scion who wants to stay would probably be incorporated into their leadership or a new special unit under the direct command of one of the twins. If a stable portal could be opened to the first, I would expect three of the scions to retire there.

I would like the Scions of the Seven Dawn to retire from the Main Story going ahead (6.1 and on)

I mean, they would be still operative in cooperation with the Alliances but the WoL will have his own adventures in new lands meeting new companions etc.

Please no. We already have enough of that with Graha and the twins. We really do not need more of that. It’s an mmorpg not a slice of life anime

I'd be down for an expansion set in the New World, or Meracydia, or some other place we've not been to, with down to earth stakes and a new/underused cast of allies.

So, from what I've been gathering it was really heavily implied by the writter at FanFest that the current scions, or most of them (I doubt Graha is making an exit so soon) will be getting their finales in EW, and we will likely get new ones in 6.x-7.0.

I wonder, what kind of scion would you like to see?

I don't think they are re-introducing the B-team for no reason.
I can see Fordola joining too.

That said, there is one thing that bugs me: the trust system.
See, they made a pretty big deal about Estinien becoming a trust ally, as if it was a huge effort for them to just add one character.
If you take the whole current cast out and replace it with new characters, they would need to add quite a few new trust companions.
So, I believe that only a couple of them are out. Probably the twins. Replace them with Arenvald and Fordola. Done.

Ones that I wish they would step back (as in work in background for future expac):

1. Alphinaud
   Alphinaud already gets a lot spotlight in the HW and all other expansions story. Let him do all the 'boring talks' part somewhere else once we made friends with Sharlayan
2. Thancred
   It's about time the old man (well not THAT old) enjoy a better life! Some of ShB story brought back some spotlight to him but he's been around since early ARR. I want to see some new face.
3. Y'shtola
   Same reason as Thancred. Plus she's a poster character for quite a long time. I don't want to see her die too from that stupid eyesight problem

Ones that I wish to see in the spotlight (or at least some of it):

1. Krile & Ejika
   Thankfully she shows some potential to play some good parts Ejika on the other hand is to pepper the atmosphere but that's too much of a stretch.
2. Tataru
   It's been a while since we get to work with this adorable character in the story. Who knows the aftermath of Endwalker we might get to work with her for sometime, again?!
3. Estinien
   Same as Krile, plus he'll be our future trust choice too, nice!
4. G'raha
   The 'Source G'raha' hasn't been around with us for long, I hope he'd get some nice spotlight
5. Gaius
   Would love to see how he plays his part, if he gets any in future main story.
6. Yugiri & Mikoto
   You can't imagine the joy I feel when I first found out Yugiri is an Au'Ra. Gods! Finally they give us some variety! (And of course they just have to take that away from us again zzz) Would be nice to see her again in Endwalker. Mikoto is a stretch, but one can hope, can't they?
7. Gaia & Ryne
   What if...just a what if... these two can travel to the Source with the help of Gaia's 'ascian power'?! Dang I'm already missing these two by now. Also where are their coffee shop?!

Urianger and Alisaie kinda sits in grey zone of my list. While I liked them both for their speech & character, I don't particularly mind nor happier if they get to stay in the spotlight. Urianger probably gonna need more spotlight though.
