New Scions (?)

I would also like a refresh on the scions. Retire Thancred and use Yshtola and Urianger as knowledge sources we have to consult on occasion. They don't need to be removed from the game entirely or killed off, just take them out of the active party. Let Alphi stay in Sharlayan working things out with his dad and the council (or maybe replacing his dad on the council if his dad doesn't make it through the EW early game). I wouldn't mind if Ali stuck around with us as it might give her even more chance to grow as a character instead of just being the "hot headed twin." Oh, and for the love of all that is holy, leave Graha locked up in that room with the books from the EW trailer.

Bring Fordola on as the resident tank and, as some others have suggested, make use of the characters we've met and seen grow in the job quests. This would kill two birds with one stone as it would not only refresh the scions but would allow those characters to live on since it's unlikely we'll ever get any more actual job quests.

One final thing I'd like to see, whether the current scions go away or not, is more of a focus on the WoL as their own character. It really has felt through far too many of the big moments that we've been reduced to essentially Alphi's sidekick rather than the hero of the story. Ending EW with Alphi in Sharlayan would allow the WoL to actually step out of his shadow a bit more.

Alphinaud and Alisaie are the last people I'd get rid of. I'd like to keep Alisaie as part of our adventures, and it would be neat to have a post-EW arc for Alphinaud where we help reform Sharlayan and stuff.
