Because bards don't enter a dungeon and get met with "lol a bard play a real class". That's the sort of thing I saw being said to paladins, any priest that wasn't holy and boomkin druids back in Vanilla WoW.

That you think bards in this game right now are treated the same as certain classes/specs were in Vanilla WoW really does explain why you think the FFXIV community is so bad. You clearly don't know how good you have it.
