yeah pretty much there's never going to be an official parser and on the flipside square is never going to actively purge the ACT users because it makes more sense for them to have it both ways. They don't have to get rid of the people who parse, just make it so you get rid of them if/when they abuse others (which is the current policy). Similarly, they don't need to implement in-game parsers because third-party parsing software already exists and the people who want to use it already are.

There's no reason or benefit in them alienating either side, so they're going to straddle the fence for eternity (unless something truly forces their hand for some reason one day). No reason to ever do anything else.
