Are wands and shields discontinued for WHM?

Yeah, they have to spend that time designing a special set of armor specifically for Dragoon in every single new set of content. Good thing Reaper's going to share with it in 6.0, 'cuz I always thought it was funny we have the "all four tanks" set, the "all three healers" set, the "all four casters set", and...yep Dragoon gets its own exclusive set every patch.

Surprisingly weird Ninja use a similar looking gear to ranged but not the ranged gear.
In ARR I think most ranged armor were shared with Melees, the Strength and Dex stats were equal.
And accessories are shared between Nin and ranged.

I'd say it's really surprising that Reaper didn't used Ninja armors, it doesn't even looks like an armored job.

pfft, its a tank set thats recoloured 90% of the time, when it isn't its a recolour of other melees

It was more that the drop system as it originally functioned could not be forced to drop both parts of a weapon+shield pair together. For a long time Paladins were at risk of only getting partial upgrades as they might see only the sword drop or only the shield drop. As stats are split between the 2 items missing out on one of them put them behind everyone else on gear and both BLM and WHM suffered from it worse as a 2-handed weapon with a higher ilevel was always an upgrade but a higher ilevel 1-handed weapon was often a downgrade as they often did not have a high enough ilevel shield to pair with the new weapon.

You should note that pretty much all the modern Maiming sets are recolors of the tank sets.
