Both Bluehole Studio and NCSOFT lost any plausible deniability that these were meant to be cute anime races when they started releasing lingerie and bikinis that magically give them breasts though.

At that point it's not just the community lewding them but the devs themselves.

I dunno about magically gives them breasts, I can't find anything like that.
Maybe the devs played into that a bit I could agree with that, but a lot of the costumes are also like this:
I don't think that's too bad of a compromise and I'd say that's more along the lines of cute rather than sexy ( it could be argued, but I really don't think it's comparable at all to the Elin in Tera. )

It sorta becomes a question of whether they want or can put in the resources in more extreme cases tho.
And if they shut Lyn players out from content the players get mad.
I mean remember we're both playing Viera, we know about those dev struggles lol.

To some extent maybe I am giving the devs too much benefit of the doubt again I probably would agree that they might play into the people lewding them too for money.
But I also wouldn't go hardcore all in on just condemning them altogether and say that they're like 110% intentionally being all like '' yeah lets milk these questionable people ''.
I do believe them when they said that the intent was for them to be cute, but then maybe things moved in another direction at times to make money if that makes sense.

My overall point tho was that I don't think they're the same as Elin, I do think that Elin just goes hardcore in on that.
While the Lyn I don't think that they do even if you can find examples.

Wow, I didn't know that. I played bns a long time ago and it wasn't like that when I was playing.

I can't remember it either, it was a long time ago since I played tho.

But I mean with the Lyn at least I feel as if I can post pics of them in most cases ( some I'd really hesitate tho ).
But with the Elin I basically feel as if I can't post any.
