Aren't Lyn literally like 8 year olds with animal ears?

The outfits that they are allowed to wear in B&S are quite... distasteful. (I just googled them)

Depends on how you perceive them I guess, I kinda view them more as cute while the Elin in Tera are a lot more blatant.
I mean in FFXIV the Lalafell can wear a lot skimpier things too tbh, if you showed someone at work a picture of a Lalafell wearing some of the skimpy gear or like the 2B armor you don't think they'd look at them pretty much the same?
It's kinda the same situation where they make most gear for the other races then the Lyn ( and Lalafell ) get it too and it's kinda perceived differently.

I don't necessarily disagree tho because I used to play Blade and Soul and just like how there's people clearly lewding Lalafell's there were people clearly lewding Lyn's.
But I still felt like it was the minority based on what I remember and the stated intent of the devs wasn't that.
I can't find it atm but I remember they posted concept art of them before and they were a lot more like monsters, they still had the same overall idea of being small and with animal ears but they were more demonic and evil looking.
Then they simply took that design and made it cute to appeal to women ( so they said at least ).

If you look at the Elin in Tera they look a lot more obviously designed to look underage, the Lyn I can kinda buy ( in most cases ) as just being more like a short animal hybrid race.
Even moreso since there's both male and female Lyn, while with the Elin there's only female.

I love Gaia's outfit but it's still worth remembering that she's a kid too which I don't like....

I hope you're not implying that's what I am saying, because I ain't that stupid or making that argument.
Like I said I agree that there are people who lewd the Lyn, what I am saying is simply that I don't think that it was the intent behind them and based on my experience playing Blade and Soul I didn't feel like it was the case.

I actually did try Tera for a while too and the Elin were like I said far more blatant.

Edit: I found two screenshots from a Stream they showed some early concepts on, they even played around with the idea that they'd actually be animals fully but I mean there's obvious problems with that ( as a Viera we should know ).
