Speaking of Jobe Role Quests for 6.0

I wonder what will it involve. Considering it is literally the finale for Season 1 storyline and then the beginning of Season 2 storyline in 6.1, I won't be surprised if 6.0 Job Role Quests is meant to be the finale for Season 1 Job storylines so they use all characters from the Class/Job story quests to make the 6.0 Role Quests and have the finale Job Quest we unlock after completing all Job Role Quests be the combine efforts of all Class/Job Story Quest characters with the WoL to defeat a powerful boss.

That way with Class/Job story characters setup in 6.0 Role Quests, SE can continue using them for future Role Quests due to established events in 6.0 Role Quests.

We have reached the end of the YorHa weeklies, right before 5.55, and the introduction of the YorHa epilogue quests. Truly they couldn't have timed this better /s

    Weeklies Summary
The weekly quests in of themselves did not add much to the story. The Digsite Chief, being disgusted by his fellow dwarves refusing to move on and start rebuilding, pulls us in to do it instead. As we help him out, some of the more vocal dwarves start to come around seeing us do what we do and help out as well, first giving us tasks, then learning how to do the tasks themselves. While this is happening, Gogg chief Glagg begins to show some signs of multiple personality disorder, getting extremly angry and paranoid one mmoment, to confused and depressed the next, which the digsite chief prevents us from investigating as the problem is something the dwarves should deal with. Unfortunately their attempts to figure out the problem don't work, and by this final weekly, Glagg had disappeared, only to be found deep within the Bunker ruins, where the Seed of Destruction was, and waking up somehow completely back to his old self. The Digsite Chief is just glad things seem to be back to normal, since Komra has now been rebuilt, with the exception of Konogg returning.

Speaking of whom, the dwarf boy has been sending us messages after each weekly. The messages reveal the following: The Seed of Destruction was a machine weapon from another world that came to the First to bring it to ruin. The OG 2B and 9S managed to hack the orb before it left to make copies of themselves to help the natives of the world it was sent to fight back. The real Anogg had indeed died in the landslide we saw in Konogg's memories, but Konogg still values the memories he made with the simulacra. Anogg had a grudge against the world because the siblings were apparently orphans, which was her driving motivation in searching for new weapons and now that she is gone, Konogg wants to 'get revenge' on the world in her place.

While they could use job quest npcs I suspect there will be some sort of theme to the role quests again with new characters. (Similar to how the role quests were all themed for the other warriors of darkness in SHB), and that they might give us level 90 epilogue quests for jobs but that's the most I'd expect of the job npcs.

Well weekly quests are done so I am guess we just wait for 5.55 now to finish the Nier raid storyline.

Got around to doing the final stretch of the 5.5 YoRHa stuff.

Gotta say, it was a nice touch to omit the greeting and signature from the latest letter. The sharp downturn of Konogg's mental state is fairly sad to me, given how invested I became in the dwarves' story. And I have to wonder what's going to become of him and Glagg next week.

Goody. They extended the story by 5 weeks with the weeklies and just as we were about to finish they give us more.

EDIT: Not that I'm adverse to this approach, but the content of the story itself leaves so much to be desired I find it difficult to believe the epilogue quests will make up for it.
Same. These epilogue quests have to be really awesome to even slightly change my opinion of this raid...

Either we will somehow have to defeat Konogg or stop him from doing something bad in the follow up quests or this will just lead to nothing..

Also in the german version Konogg just says that he does not want to be in a world where there is no Anogg. Sounded 100% less revenge and more about his sadness and him maybe doing something dangerous to bring her back.

Never been caught up with MSQ before! Excited to give my two cents.

Ayyyyy, Fordola is back! Best of luck to her and Arenvald. I know she’s terrible and I shouldn’t like her, but I do, and I hope I can get her for trust dungeons one day... (I still think about what the proper answer was to her question after she got Echo’d. Too bad they didn’t let me say “alcohol and split personalities.”)

The meeting between Alisaie and Estinien wasn’t what I had imagined -it was better! RIP Estinien. G’raha fanboying over who is to him another historical figure was adorable, but salty elf makes me laugh more. Now I know why the devs put Tiamat in! Turns out Midgardsormr did something else right in bullying me into talking to her. I dig how Estinien of all people convinced her to bring freedom and/or mercy to her children... but I have to admit I’m a little scared of somebody who’s even 0.5% Nidhogg. Good thing he’s on our side. I got a good laugh out of impersonating Estinien for the node, but wish I got a dialogue option that let me tell him I plan to rip Fandaniel apart, because that’s all I’ve wanted since day one. I’ve BEEN over this open-up-a-dialogue-with-the-Ascians thing. Some butts need kicking! Continuing to be proud of Alisaie!

The music in Paglth’an SLAPS. Estinien and Tiamat arriving to kick butt together is *chef’s kiss*. The man’s come a long way since I first met him doing my DRG quests. And I’m cautiously hopeful about working with more friendly Amalj’aa. Part of me is glad the Syndicate took their heads out of their butts and are trying to be useful for once, but part of me wonders if all this teaming up is too good to be true.

    More MSQ reaction

I KNEW those towers involved summoning somehow! That’s some nightmare fuel. How do we shut them off? Can we save the guys in there? ARENVALD NOOOOOO- Fordola has a point, though. You can’t save everyone in a war. That’s why I have a broken shield. Didn’t Matoya already get on Alphinaud for this? Plus there’s the fact that there are some lives whose cessation would instantly make Hydaelyn a better place to live, so I can’t really agree with my boy today. And I know Alph has rubbed off on Estinien some, but as another awful woman once said, “you can’t do a damn thing when you’re dead!” That includes making your dreams reality.

I hope Krile can convince her Sharlayan homies to be useful and we don’t just get hours of politics while the world is about to burn. (I’ve heard at least one other fan say that Krile or Fordola should get to kill Zenos so he doesn’t get what he wants. After what he did to her, I’m here for it. I don’t know how, but a Krile finisher would be amazing.)

And I have to admit that, despite having zero love for the dastardly duo, I’m already very invested in how Endwalker goes. My fellow Scions and I have way too many people we care about and have gone through way too much trying to keep them safe just to see it all get the FFVI treatment from a spoiled broken record blood knight and a death seeker who picked the most hateable host body outside of Television... Telomere... whoever it was screwed us in 2.55. Please oh please don’t let us have another bleak-ass “rocks fall everyone dies” ending like 2.55. But oh please DO let Venat somehow pop up (if “Elidibus” did it, why can’t he?) to pimp-slap those two out of existence.

I noticed they randomly added a picture of Menenius to the 5.5 special site, which makes me wonder if he's going to be the last boss for Zadnor's equivalent of Castrum, seeing as they've already shown off that custom iron giant and Cuchlainn as two of the other bosses there.

Gabranth not being dealt with here would provide a convenient hook for future Ivalice-related content, though with all the loose ends pertaining to MSQ matters that are bound to be left hanging in the wake of 6.0's conclusion I'm not sure they'd revisit that subject yet again.

However, he's been given so little exposure throughout the Bozja storyline thus far that wrapping up his role here would feel rather unsatisfying at the same time.

I'm cautiously optimistic. Gabranth was my favourite character in FFXII and he was more anti-hero than antagonist who ultimately helped push the Empire towards a period of peace by protecting Lord Larsa. Obviously things will be different when it comes to his FFXIV counterpart but you're right in that we've seen so little of him so far. Still, he has a lot of passionate followers and a stance of not caring about the race or standing of the men and women serving him as well as a dream of a nation built on equality.

I am a little concerned that he might be killed off quickly as to not have to write around what he's doing during the return of the Final Days, though it's definitely curious to me that 5.4 is a requirement for accessing the next part of Save the Queen.

Personally I think it'd be cool if he stepped up and made to rescue the survivors in Garlemald and throughout the provinces. Perhaps even teaming up with Lord Nerva in order to do so.
