I guess Australians are going to complain that they don't have the expansion already then? :PThat's why different countries have different starting dates for winter. Since it's an international fanfest event it's better to just be honest and say the month instead of the season which is different for everyone. Yes, I know November is fall in Japan... but it's not in America. Also November isn't even fall or winter in Australia it's like spring or summer there.
The main point is that November is very very late and they should have just been upfront about it and said "late 2021" or "4th quarter of 2021". Using "Fall 2021" makes people think September or October. It's a deliberate decision to make people feel like it's coming faster when it's not. Maybe I'm technically wrong about November not being in fall (didn't realize there are so many calendar experts here) but my point still stands, and Yoshi P himself even made the comment that they used fall instead of winter to make people feel that it's not that far away. This was a marketing decision through and through but it just feels a bit misleading. Peace.

There is no misleading anyone here.
Yeah my bad I meant to quote the person above you on that point.I think we can all agree on, that they should probably just said the date when Endwalker was announced and not a season that is different depending where you live.
In my country reasons is determined via meteorlogical aka temps.
No it is not....
Do you even have winter in spain? XD
I never said they were un-honest about the date. Maybe you're misquoting?
I believe they even said on the fanfest they put fall cause winter would be perceived as much longer away.
Sure, could also just said "Coming 2021" but it's whatever now. This topic is kinda moot to discuss to begin with.
I just wanted to point out depending where you reside november could be deemed as winter and in some other places say fall.
I realize technically you can say it still fall but different countries measure it differently, such as the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute.
But I never said or thought it was misleading, OP seems/seemed to think however.
Winter would have been flat out factually incorrect of them to say. Fall was perfectly fine. The main point is that November is very very late and they should have just been upfront about it and said "late 2021" or "4th quarter of 2021". They said Fall 2021 back in February. I thought it would be September so I was hopeful but now I have to wait very long and felt misled.

Anyways this will be my last comment here because everyone is just debating seasons which is not the point of my feedback.
Misleading in what sense? They said fall it is late fall but still fall. The main point is that November is very very late and they should have just been upfront about it and said "late 2021" or "4th quarter of 2021". I get it is a long draught, and annoying. Though I also assumed it would be late 2021, I even would not be shocked if a delay happened.
Curb your expectations.
You can feel misled, but you do have to realize that you weren't misled as November is still fall. They said Fall 2021 back in February. I thought it would be September so I was hopeful but now I have to wait very long and felt misled.

Personally, if I had thought September and it was actually November, I'd just be disappointed that it was late fall instead of early fall.
you are not just "technically" wrong.
You are categorically, provably wrong. Fall has a definition; you opting to ignore that definition isn't a "technicality". It's outright rejecting reality and substituting your own.
Being snide about all the "calendar experts" is real cute, too, as if it takes much more than a basic grade school eduction to know what months people categorize as fall (which are traditionally october and november for the middle, with september starting it and december ending it).
Reality exists beyond your personal ego-centric perception of it. Deal with that.
