PS5 is still a pain to get a hold of for a reasonable price, and they're not gonna cut out the entire console player base like that. It would be a PR and financial nightmare. Maybe by 7.0, the supply problems will get ironed out.

I bet that tomorrow at the Q&A theyll be asking about fvieras and mhrots and their issues, plus wether or not mviera will have them, and my guess is that they probs had to cut on that front to introduce male viera as early as they have, but will likely be updating them now that they will have even more players (my personal bet is that 6.2-6.4 will be when they update the hats and add a few hairstyles, likely the paid ones).

Im just wondering 2 things rn: I wonder if they will be adding male viera NPCs as job quest characters in endwalker and Im pretty curious to see if they change the Fran conv in the raid if you are a male viera cuz if they dont itll be as ironic as Yugiri hiding her face because 'the world isn't ready to see Au Ra' when you're an au ra yourself lol

Being shorter would be about perfect.

I'm hoping for shorter than the females, but not a huge, jarring disconnect like Au Ra. Maybe half a head shorter at the same slider settings.

I think the Viera will follow the same dimorphism rule that most of the other races in the game do: males are generally taller than females. The only exceptions to this rule are Lalafell (males and females are the same height) and Au Ra (males are significantly larger than females).

If Viera were to be an exception, then what I can see happening is males being the same height as females (like the Lalafell example). This could be explained by their lore of how males and females are indistinguishable at very young ages. Besides, the Viera are known for being tall and lanky (apart from having bunny ears and unique feet). If you look at the male Viera's proportions, they definitely fit that tall and lanky description.

Either way, I highly doubt they made them the same size as male Miqo’te or even male Midlander. Male Viera height being close to male Miqo’te height would make them too similar. Male Viera should stand out from male Miqo’te the way female Viera stand out from female Miqo’te.

If anything, a minimum male Viera will probably be about 2-3 inches taller than a maximum height male Midlander. There would still be a noticeable difference between minimum height Viera and maximum height Miqo’te (this is true for the females).

A maximum height male Viera would be taller than a maximum height female Viera, but a minimum height male Viera would be shorter than a maximum height female. That would be totally normal, as this is possible with other races (minimum male Elezen < maximum female Elezen, etc.).

This is my prediction for their height.

If the renders are anything to go by, male viera seems to be a bit shorter than female viera, so likely will be taller than male miqote and a bit shorter than higlander

Just to put it out there, but I would caution people looking to the Q&A specifically for more answers on Male Viera (and Fem Hrothgar). One of the rules for submitting a question was that you needed to ask the question that you submitted, and those questions were entered weeks ago. No one knew Male Viera were a thing then. So if no one asks about Male Viera and/or Fem Hrothgar it's not because they've blocked the question or anything.

I would expect that tons of people entered questions about the hair/heads for the current in game races though, so I would be surprised if that wasn't addressed. (if not then that genuinely is a question they most assuredly actively decided not to answer)
