How many weeks do we need to keep doing the Nier weekly quest?

5.55 is likely dropping on May 25th considering everything happening, there's also a live letter on Sunday Morning which they usually do bout 10 days before a patch drop. I'd say theres more content for the Post Nier Raid events to complete it properly, maybe some gatherables/accessories like with the mchach series or even that Flight Unit as a mount.

Considering they avoided calling it the finale of the yorha story I wouldn't be shocked if there's a little more in 5.55. Rather than a mount though I'm hoping for an Emil head piece.

To be fair, it was always going to be a condensed experience compared to a full game. I thought the 2P betrayal was a refreshing change of pace - there wasn't a whole lot of emotional investment with the character, but it was the first time in a while that the Warrior of Darkness was forced to acknowledge that blindly working for whoever asks them for aid is not necessarily a good thing.

This bit in particular was good, while we often at least have someone we DO know vouch for why we should be helping X person, this was literally "I don't know ANY of you, you two are kind of being jerks and you are a very strange robot lady telling me very little as to why I should be helping, but yeah, sure, I trust you." and surprise, it backfired.
As for the story, it was barebones, but to me at least, there was enough there, it's always the problem with Alliance raids, they don't have a tone of space to work with, Yorha was all action no talk, but last time around I found Ivalice all talk and no action, I honestly preferred the former, just letting me do stuff is preferable to my WoL feeling like she stumbled into a "History of Ivalice" class every time a cutscene started. Though in an ideal world, they'd just give the Alliance raids more room to breath, I think letting them have quests in their off patches is a good step, but they should also increase the amount of space they're given.

I didn't like the dwarf twins, wouldn't trust them and their scheming half-statements, and sure as heck didn't want to be taking their side and breaking into the machine graveyard against the chief's orders... but no, that's the way the story took it so I was stuck doing what felt quite out of character to begin with.

I didn't much like them at the start either, nor did I really want to go along with their plan, though I also didn't trust 2P the moment I saw her and less so the more Factory went on and as soon as I saw 9S every red flag was raised, but there I went, slaying my poor boy, thankfully not actually slaying though. However it does do a good job highlighting the point as Theodric noted, we do A LOT of blind helping, it pretty much always works out, but it was nice for it to finally not, but there have been plenty of quests and side stories that feel out of character for the WoL to just be like "Sure, I'll help" Given who designed this I'm pretty sure that was the point, they were meant to be unlikable at the start and effectively drag our WoL into it because we'll do it, because that's what the quest says to do.

People keep saying about reward, but wouldn't people already know if any exists via data mining? I thought I read about the next exp buff gear, for example.

If they wanted to keep it a surprise all they'd need to do is hold it back and patch it in with patch 5.55 in a couple of weeks. Might be wishful thinking but it's not impossible.
