    Bard really needs a rework. It somehow got it's identity stolen by Dancer and has ghosting issues.

    SMN is clearly getting one I just hope the Egi's remain in tact, the big ghosting issue is the Demi summons so get rid of them by making them permanent upgrades to the existing egi's and throw them into the existing EA/ Enkindle system, this also cuts SMN's rotation is cut back down to Dreadwyrm Trance and Deathflare.

    AST is losing Noct but aside from some small retooling for that I don't see a ton changing.

    Aeoro III was so satisfying to cast. The animation was neat, the spell effect was impressive, and the sound really hit the ear well. It was also incredibly useful to have an AoE DOT, so of course they removed it because everyone really enjoyed it.

    I hope for a rework of the blood system of DRK to make it unique again, recover the resource management identity and make the Darkside gauge being useful at result.

    I hope, unless they remove/rework SOME of DNC's over-reliance on RNG, that they don't touch it too much. I could MAYBE take a 3rd Step/Finish skill with a cd in-between Standard and Technical, or more support skills.

    Also, please rename Devilment to Devil's Tango like it's called in JP, it's literally the only one of our "support" skills NOT explicitly named after a dance style in EN. (Also, like anytime these threads pop up, pleeeease make a Perform-like function for DNC I'll love you forever)

    I feel like DRG and NIN are in a good place in terms of fun-to-play. RDM too, it just needs something like verfire II and verstone II for AOE procs. And ninja has that weird ability where you remove the waterspout DOT and get the icy blades -- something I never would've known existed because I read that tooltip like... why would I ever want to remove that waterspout dot skill? (I can't remember the name). So that's kind of just oddly slotted in there.

    Given SE's "reworks" usually ending up as demolishing the job and turning it into a heap of rubbish, I'm expecting Smn (confirmed) Astro to keep being beaten (Noct sect is now gone), Dark knight (as usual) and Monk (because they went back to square 1 in order to get player numbers up again and need it to suffer like all the other jobs)

    At this point, the only jobs they haven't reworked are Warrior, redmage, black mage, Samurai and dragoon. So my guess is warrior is the most likely one to be kicked in the bollocks of the ones that havent been reworked before because the job designers are dps mains.
    Black mage will probably only be reworked if yoshida happens to be looking the other way at the time as its pretty much a perfect job now as far as most of the player base thinks which means its in the crosshairs.

    cynical i know, but I'm sick of every job I'm wanting to play getting gutted in SB and SHB

    If I am thinking of the right skills, you are thinking of two different things. Suiton isn't a DoT, just exists to use Trick Attack, but certain moments (Ten Chi Jin, mostly) will force you to use Suiton when TA isn't up. Meisui exists to build your bar in situations like that. Kassatsu changes Katon and Hyoton into stronger skills. That's likely the more missable one.

    And it had the best animation too...I miss the windmill twirl you do when you cast it.

    They were probably thinking of Hyoton being updated. Not sure where the idea of it having a dot came from, but it is a mudra that you generally don't use at least in PVE until you get the trait that buffs it for single target damage.
