What confuses me is the Skallic Healing and Augmented Lost Allagan Fending sets. Why? Just......why?

The Scarf of Wondrous wit was already a reward once before. I remember grabbing one myself.

I think it's a good thing that more players are being granted access to neat rewards. There's already been a period of exclusivity/rarity for them after all. I spent eight million on the shiver emote, for example, back when it was first added to the game. Now it's available here and more people can enjoy it.

My only criticism is that maybe the scarf should be retired as a contest reward and made a permanent fixture of the Moogle events instead.

Periods of exclusivity are absolutely fine, and can make the content feel worth going out of your way to do at the time, but never forever- seems like a waste of opportunity and a great dissuasion tactic. Much rather share all my goodies than be special because I was in the right place at the right time. Generally suggest not to break one's word, if one verbatim said it is a one time ever opportunity, but I'd also suggest not to say that in the first place lol.

The Scarf of Wondrous Wit wasn't really a moogle reward before, it was sold for 50 gil before.

I remember because I complained in this thread.

I mostly just think it's bizarre to keep it as a contest reward at this point. Even making people grind tomes for it is weird now.

I wonder why pvp stuff gets excluded though.
Why can't we get the years old mounts from pvp? (Not the top 100 mounts obviously)
They don't care that people farmed for Shinryu, or got hairstyles from Eureka for some extra gil etc.
Why are pvp items treated differently?

What old PvP mounts are you refering to?
In case its the Garo-horses: They're treated differently because SE doesnt hold the rights on them - same reason they (and the gear) cant be obtained ingame anymore. They had a contract with the Garo-people, that contract ran out and wasnt renewed, probably because it would be to much hassle for something that was always supposed to be and advertised as a limited event.

Pretty much this. Contracts can be messy and expensive.

As for exclusives, the only thing I'd agree to in making something available is "if not licensed, was everyone who attempted to get the item able to" if yes, then it should stay the way it is. If there was a limited number available, then it should become available again.

It honestly wouldn't surprise me if they added an old Feast mount every now and then. In my opinion, they were all wasted on the very limited ranking system that was very easy to game.

I doubt they ever will. I'd love to see it, but again I doubt. How many people do you know that own the hellhound mount(s) that play still?
