I think it's a good thing that more players are being granted access to neat rewards. There's already been a period of exclusivity/rarity for them after all. I spent eight million on the shiver emote, for example, back when it was first added to the game. Now it's available here and more people can enjoy it.

I think it's great that players who arrived to the game later also get the chance to obtain these items. It always sucks when you play a game and see something you love but find you cannot get it simply because of when you started playing. Personally I've never been a fan of exclusivity being so strict that an item becomes literally impossible to obtain after a period of time. I've never been a fan of any sort of seniority perks that affect what a player has obtained in the game (making that distinction because I'm fine with 1.0 players having access to a cheaper sub because that doesn't affect what they can do in the game).

Anyway it's not as if SE are making previously exclusive items easier to obtain mere weeks after their introduction to the game. Many were in the game for several years before SE made them available through moogle tomes.

And I'm finally going to get that skallic chest piece that has been eluding me for so long. Finally. Seeing that piece among the rewards was a very pleasant surprise for me.

What old PvP mounts are you refering to?
In case its the Garo-horses: They're treated differently because SE doesnt hold the rights on them - same reason they (and the gear) cant be obtained ingame anymore. They had a contract with the Garo-people, that contract ran out and wasnt renewed, probably because it would be to much hassle for something that was always supposed to be and advertised as a limited event.

To add to this, the only other mounts they could be referring to are the ones you get from 100 wins in various maps- which are achievement-locked, unlike EX trials, Eureka or rare FATE tokens (therefore I suspect they won't/can't give those away) or the one for like 20,000 Wolves marks that can be farmed in less than 2 days of constant queueing.

These items are more accessible but still exclusive in a way since they are only available for a limited time.

things like the modern aesthetics stuff might be worth farming and hoarding, i have a feeling theyll hop their way back up in price later on considering the demand for them. same with the emotes.

i already have both of the modern aesthetics, but i'd been wanting the skallic healing set ever since i saw it and i guess this is as much a reason as any to go back into prae and level a few jobs.

A heads up about those emotes, those are the rare emotes only obtainable from the rare lockboxes in Eureka Pagos and Eureka Pyros. Meaning this may be your best chance to get those emotes, else you'll have to pay millions of gil on the marketboards to get one.

Only the shiver emote is from Eureka, the sweat emote can be bought with Empyran potshards from Heaven-on-High (which are easily farmable as each 30 clear grants you one)

I get Garo isn't on there.
The floating orb mounts for example.
They've been in the game for ages.
