A few complaints about the NieR Raid rewards on Part 3

I just wish they would remove glamours completely. Tired of the whining and complaining about cosmetics.

If you want to look like a patchwork hobo, EverQuest is that way, though even there we had dyes. Probably XI as well. Or go to the early days of this game at low levels before you unlocked the ability.

So many would quit the game. You may not like glamour but I'd say most people who play this game likes it on some level.

Reading the replies, up to now, it made me realized that we put our expectations too high. And it was not a bad thing to do either. The nier raids were hyped even by the company itself as "special", knowing full well that this was a different uh, "breed" or "type" of alliance raid so naturally, it was not unexpected for us the playerbase to aim high when it came to possible rewards. Add also to the fact that this was a heavily requested crossover raid and from that point, we just aimed for the stars.

Now it just feels like I'm living the embodiment of "be careful what you wish for." So much re-used glam for all raids (so many multiple obvious options for different jobs SE could've chosen from), special rewards that could've been awarded as a quest line reward (talking about the coffers and hair) instead of being up for rng grabs...

All I know is that I've learned my lesson. Whatever crossover comes next, I hope it comes in small doses and impact, like FFXV. It was short, nice, sweet and everyone walked away with something without having to compete for it or buy it.

I'm so mad we didn't get 9S's glamour. I wanted that since stormblood when I used to cosplay as him. It's infuriating because when talking about the puppet's bunker, yoshi-p said "there won't be any attire coffers this time because people didn't like it last time". How does that make any sense? Everyone that wants the 2B glam can get it pretty easy, if that was the reason we didn't get the 9S attire coffer...
It's the most disappointing thing about shadowbringers to me, on par with the lack of customization for viera and hrothgar... The one glam I wanted the most...

The real thing, too, wasn't that people didn't like glamor coffers, but they didn't like that people could just claim multiples of them. There were people on this forum saying they were trying to get enough to have them in their glamor dresser dyed every possible rare color. If they managed to make it so that if you had the coffer or the items in any of your inventories that you couldn't get one again, that would have solved a lot of the problems.

I'm not entirely sure the game is set up to check that.
Otherwise I wouldn't be able to stuff unique items into my saddlebag or inventory in order to pick up another copy.

And no way are they rewriting and testing all the necessary code just for these coffers.

True, it might have been too hard... but it does already do the thing where you can't roll on the minion if you already have it, so they do have at least half the system in place. Though I guess then we'd just have people trolling by claiming the coffers and throwing them away so other people can't have them... beacuse we know people are terrible like that.

This seems fairly dumb for the community (but given it's the community, it's also no surprise either).

I think EverQuest has a form of glamour now as well, so you can avoid an undesirable look, but I always played Enchanter or Magician so it was all Robes anyway.

It’s true that there are many potential rewards they could add (Hint: many potential). But ultimately not all of them will get a pass & will not please some groups that didn’t get their wishlist fulfilled. If people are so upset about that just to wallow up to this date, they might as well go play NieR then. Compared to raids of previous expansions, this one’s definitely bloated with rewards.
