    Yep, that's EXACTLY my point.

    Having to slog through MSQ fetch quests, which I do get that when they were created, were meant to fulfill the dev's promise for updates as well as keep players occupied until the next expansion.

    My only problem with them is that new and returning players have to slog through them, despite owning the latest expansion (and kudos to the devs for making that a thing!), most of which have nothing to do with story.

    They could fix this by changing the coding of those quests to something other than MSQ.

    The post-credits MSQ contributes way more to the story, overall, than just fetch quests.

    ARR suffers the worst, but even that has so much plot that gets called back to later. The writers have already been through it once and pulled out the bits that they decided were not necessary.
