Because it is a general forum where people are free to state their opinions. The action of disagreement or wanting a certain feature are not what is considered entitled (cause SE did say they were coming, granted per covid) but the desire to not have people post because you may not perceive their input as fruitful to the conversation is though.

Forums are not meant to be echo chambers or player policed zones. Outside of certain cases anything added to a thread could be seen as a progressioning the discussion even if it is at the expense of the OP or those in supports feelings.

That is just me though never been a fan of the whole please don't post here if you do follow x y and or z. It is a general forum people should be encouraged to post. This is going off topic though.

Pretty much this. While I think that calling people entitled or telling them to suck it up for wanting equal treatment is a jerk move, those people have just as much of a right to post in this thread (or any thread) as anyone else.

Because quite evidently people feel as if they're being called entitled, simply on the basis that someone has an opinion differing from their own, or an opinion they don't agree with or like.

People are going to get tired when the same thread is made on every single hairstyle release. A lovely picture of the hairstyle clipped straight from the patch notes with a comment of something like- Another hairstyle we can't use.

Why is what you want more important than what others want? That's just being selfish. SE stated the Egis would get new skins every few patches along with a better system for applying them being worked on. It has be 4 or 5 years with no new info. You guys were told you would get new hair in the future and have be throwing hissy fits with every new hairstyle release.

I think that when the devs say they will do something they should follow through and do it, and if there's a change in plans they should be transparent about that so players know what to expect.

It doesn't have to be a contest between players about who was promised what first and what's more important because we're not the ones making these decisions, they are.

And in both situations they are in the wrong so the ire should be directed at them.

Oh hissy fits. Oh really. If you say so. Sorry but your pets aren't as important as the new race additions I hate to break it to you at least in my humble opinion. You're entitled to your opinion certainly but I'm sure people like myself with summoner roles on some alts could give a hoot about our egi.

The new race additions shouldn't be second class racial additions and deserve at least some love. They've gotten nothing in 2 years and that's simply ridiculous. If you can't find that there a a problem when new hats or hair are added for all the other races (events and patch updates) and they get nothing I don't know what to tell you. People with those races have every right to make their feelings known and I'm happy to see them do it.

I'll say prayers for your egi btw I promise every time I go to bed.

And I'll add that at the very least the director and development team owe the community a status update of what to expect and when and just maybe you wouldn't see threads like this popping up all the time.

I agree that it crazy we haven't had even the smallest update since they were released. But sadly this is the norm and making so many threads over and over isn't going to change that.

If there ever is a megathread to get some clarity on what happened with Egi glamour I'm sure many would also happily throw their support behind that as well, because it's long (long, looooooooooooooong) overdue.

1) not an opinion but a claim to a fact that might not be true, the purpose of which can be charitably assumed to be "please stop complaining about this."

2) Sure this is an opinion but it's a tertiary one that does not add to the thread but could detract by adding a third dimension (a meta discussion about forum etiquette) to an otherwise two dimensional (I want vs I don't want) thread.

3) A repeat of 1, perhaps? But it's not an opinion either way, it's a claim of fact that might not be true, perhaps the op is new, perhaps they're new to the conversation, perhaps the reader is new to the thread pulled up on google years later. And the purpose behind it? Well I won't assume the worst but it's hard to say it's anything productive.

4) You ran out of examples huh? Of your four examples of "people are just posting opinions and getting victim bombed," two aren't opinions, one is a tertiary (meta) opinion, and one is... Just a general "I claim it therefore it is."

To the credit of people who posted "not this again," they successfully derailed a topic from character customization updates into yet another meta commentary on dev cycles, habits, and feedback methods. Oh well, back to lurking and popcorn for me.
