So why did you ask?
No one is forcing you to pull first as a DPS.

Just asking for the tanks to do their damn job and not let someone die because they were faster than them, and telling that using Arm's Length if a ranged DPS runs ahead will be helpful for literally everyone involved.

Because the title of OP is "DPS who pull mobs".

I didn't understand that to mean that only those who thought that a good thing were allowed to post. Or that rhetorical responses were not allowed.
