Maybe some specific clarification is in order, if it's not ERPing as a dom, then what is actually said/described and what kind of thing is going on? I can get people not wanting to share the Carrd details (I mean, I know the trolls this forum attracts). But LittleImp is claiming there's ERPing as a dom, but without seeing specifically what is written and of course all the types of RP that goes on at the venue, it's hard to judge who's accurate. You might be able to answer my questions in my previous post too if you're tied to the aforementioned venue.

If you take a look in the corner of my post, my name is not Google. Kink is obviously adult in theme but by NO means inherently sexual. If you're creeping on my carrd, you'd also see that it explicitly states that I'm asexual. So, uh...

And google tells me that the "erotic" part of ERP means "of, devoted to, or tending to arouse sexual love or desire", so once more what part of "ERP (as a domme or anything else really)" is nonsexual?

Also I don't care about you, your carrd or your sexuality, but sexuality denotes attraction more than activity and it's not uncommon for aces to do sexual stuff by themselves or with other people regardless of their attraction.

I doubt such drastic measures would be required.

I don't think it is an invasive demand or expectation for adult activities to be kept out of the game altogether. If people choose to do it? Well, they may or may not get caught out. It'd be difficult for the GM's to go after every single player who indulges in such exploits, ultimately. Even so, I don't think anybody should cry foul if they do something that quite clearly toes the line of acceptability or breaches it altogether.

One might even be led to believe that false narratives between players have been spun assuring each other that such activities are acceptable even though they are clearly outlined in the terms of service as inappropriate.

I'll just bullet point my points:


- Not all 18+ Ads are purely sexual in nature, plenty are just for basic events that might amount to little more than dancing to some pop song on a stage while typing "___ drinks [alcohol] beverage". Which is pretty... whatever, really. Die on that hill I guess.
- Being able to put "18+" can actually, reasonably, be a benefit to the person posting legally since many of the laws related to these sorts of online interactions (where they exist) will say things such as "reasonably aware" or "believes..." which that tag makes an argument for, regardless. (Which, again, I don't care if ERP ads are being removed -- but one of my points is: they'll be around regardless of how clean their ad has to be, I'd rather have the ability to use the 18+ tag if I were to search for people for something since I'd rather RP, if I were to, with adults)
- Even if someone underage went to one, they won't be traumatized from it. They shouldn't be there, but it's not world-ending. It is absolutely not comparable to someone being a predator to children, that's a really extreme reach. (And is something that holds risk in /any/ prolonged online interaction in a game, which MMO's are supposed to be about prolonged online interactions).
- Something genuinely explicit, like saying "come to my sex dungeon" or whatever is clearly a line that's being very obviously crossed, but "romantic dancing on a ballroom floor" or whatever really... isn't comparable. To an extent, just live and let live when it's that vague.
- "They don't take outside evidence" is the reason people forgive the GMs for the rampant RMT abuse in PF, but in one of the two presented cases "well duh it's the outside evidence lol" -- just... more clarity on what they take in/don't take in. If it's because "RMT uses Discords and carrd's are easier to access" fine, just... say it, like, I just want a GM to be upfront and say it. Or the company.
- GM's should, regardless of position, be more clear and cite specifically where you made a mistake. Since, if they were, most of these threads wouldn't exist and I wouldn't still have "Holy Spam in Limsa landed me in the Mordian Gaol" living in my head years later.

I'm frustrated since... I'm not talking about "ERP Should Be Allowed" -- I don't think PF is the place to advertise for it blatantly. It doesn't mean my concerns around GM interactions with players are unwarranted, nor does it make my wish for them to be more clear and concise pointless. Secondary to the first point -- I don't feel ERP should be allowed to be advertised in the PF, but I also don't think grandstanding and acting snarky and sarcastic while claiming the Predators are out to Get the Children is at all a fair comparison (Yet everyone cherrypicks this out and acts like I'm 100% for ERP in PF so it's... why bother responding, after this, again to someone who'll cherrypick out the second sentence of this paragraph and say the exact. Same. Thing.)

In summary:

I'm not saying "ERP ads should be allowed" I'm saying "18+" as a tag is something people do use for non-erp purposes, and that if there's an ad for ERP on the PF at least strike it for the "ERP" and that I'd prefer the GM's of this game to be less ambiguous and just flat out say what caused the issue. Which is just why I'm tired of responding, since everyone brings it back to purely being about "ERP" and not just... you know, all the other reasons someone might want to use a tag that's 18+. At the same time, I do think some people do blow the "ERP" thing out of proportion and if it's an ad literally for that, fine, but if it's just "Want to hang with adults at my bar venue" who cares. Both shouldn't be treated the same.

If you had actually read the original post, you would know that slapping an age tag onto a PF isn't a punishable offense in and of itself. It's the content within the rest of the listing or the activities inside the venue that are getting players into trouble.

Sadly that doesn't matter to the LARPers playing pretend with "PURGE THE DEGENERANCY DEUS VULT XD" that walk naked around the the QS with chocobo heads harassing people.
