    It’s cool, I’ve been there.

Yeah, it’s one thing for the GMs to do their job and another entirely for people to intentionally bait and target consenting adults who are minding their own business in private.

This particular case isn’t that, nor are any of the other instances that have since been posted. Unfortunately, they found out the hard way that once you put a link to something in the game, it’s fair grounds for the GMs to use- whether it be links to phishing scams or links to a website listing adult services.

My guess is once the low hanging fruit is gone (PF advertisement), people will lose interest. It’s best for these venues to cut their losses now and just adapt and do what the GMs have asked of them rather than trying to find clever ways around it.

What have the GMs asked exactly? Ive only ever seen vague 'dont say bad thing' responses

It's heavily scripted because GMs have to follow very strict rules. There is definitely an issue with how GMs handle tickets, however the root of the problem is far higher up the chain. These people are just support staff following guidelines so they can keep their jobs. They don't decide what the exact policies are.

The frustration in the most recent one isn't that they received a warning. But just the vagueness and then there at the end the 100% ignoring the request by the person to even be acknowledged by the GM. Anyone who posts for a venue with 18+ content knows the risks, but that still does not invalidate their being upset when they are not told directly what not to do. If the GM had been like "Don't link a website" then okay fine, we won't. But instead they just vaguely said "you said something inappropriate, don't do that again". Okay but WHAT inappropriate thing? The fact they will/cannot even narrow it down to telling you it was in PF, /say, or whatever means it is just a headache to try to guess what you did wrong and not repeat it again. And to be blatantly ignored after a simple request to be acknowledged is also rather disheartening. If the GM had simply replied like "Yes I acknowledge your frustrations and I am sorry but this is the policies we must follow" then again that is fine. But instead they are ignoring the people, not treating them at all like human beings. That is the growing issue and frustration a lot of RP people are having with the GMs right now. They are just talking to a wall. And then afterwards if they try to elevate their ticket there is a 99% chance it will be ignored, so their voices cannot be heard whatsoever or their questions answered. Literally in the first posts here the GM was like "if you have no further questions" and afterwards ignored that the person DID have questions. How is that fair? Why even bother to say that if you will not even acknowledge us or our questions?

The point of using scripts in settings like this is so that the GMs all say the same thing. They want the blanket statement rather than GMs to be able to say whatever they want so it can be controlled and nothing spoken that can end up landing Square in hot water. It's the same as sending the same scripted email as a response to a complaint: they don't want anyone making false promises to angry customers and instead want to push an approved statement that covers themselves at the same time.

They say these things a lot. They bring people into the GM jail all day for the same things. There comes a point where you say these things so much that even if you don't try to script it, you're saying the same things anyway and it comes across like a script.

At that point, you may as well just script it, then go off-script if the user has questions.

Scripting it allows them to spend less time deciding what to type, how to type it, and to refine the wording for maximum politeness.

Mods aren’t going to address this here if history has shown anything. Sadly.

Whats the point of not having machines do their jobs then? It could be easy to program a bot to scan chat logs, pull people who curse or do things against ToS into private areas, and recite the exact part of the ToS that was infringed upon without giving any explanation at all with specifics, just as the GMs are doing right now

In all cases listed here they mention to please keep the age rating of the game in mind when publicly posting about their venues and activities. Then point to the section of the TOS that outlines what that entails. Considering these venues had 18+ tags and/or allusions to adult activity and/or direct links to websites in which they supposedly lay out their adult services, one can deduce that is what they mean.

I get that the vagueness is frustrating but I also don’t think if someone is bonked by the GMs they get a free pass to play ignorant and ask them to explicitly tell them to not be horny in public.

Taking it from someone who came from a game fully moderated by bots, it's worse. You'll get banned for saying words that aren't even slurs. For example, I got a 3 day ban in my game for saying the word "training". I had a friend get a day mute for saying "food" once, that was hilarious.
