Unsure if these have already been posted or not but enjoy the age-appropriate content, one in the only pvp area, the other in a story mission for SB

I'm fine with your viewpoint, and heck, again, I even accept your outlook that not as many vendors have this outlook despite how big the outcry might be, but it's a simple case people have in the past given clear and definitive situations whereby it's not appropriate, and unfortunately, there's no way to distinguish between the appropriate and the inappropriate, so from an objective standpoint it's better to avoid the thing altogether. People just have a serious problem with other people trying to pull out the victim card even if they're in the wrong.First off, I'd like to apologize for getting worked up there and snapping at you. I replied to another poster just now also, and I'm hoping that explains my view much better.
Most of your post I have no umbrage with. The only thing I have to respond to is:
I agree with most people here that this is an extremely dismissive and callous argument. Parents cannot supervise their children 100% of the time. What they can do, however, is prepare their child for what they may find on the internet, and how to protect themselves. When I was a kid, my dad sat me down and had The Talk -- he warned me that not everyone online was my friend, even if they said so. That if someone ever wanted to take things too far, to cut off contact. I am a firm believer that most kids should have this talk with some authoritative figure. I'm not arguing this should absolve public PFs of responsibility, but trying to provide context and nuance to the conversation.
I just have a lot of friends that worked a lot of hours into building these venues and helping people have fun. I don't want to see all their work go to waste, I don't want to see all of their friends get scattered because of witch hunts, and I'm scared. I'm sorry again I snapped at you.
That being said, there's no need for you to apologize for having a different outlook than myself. Kudus to you for voicing it without seeming like you're devoid of standards altogether, really!
Kids should be made aware of it, the only issue is not all children hold the understanding or notion of what constitutes as acceptable, nor unacceptable, and some people will visit even on a whim.
See below of the exemplification of what I'm highlighting
They call this sexually suggestive material, not sexually explicit like player interactions are. So this is a false equivalence, but do carry on and humour me.

Yes, yes, we know. But the thing is, these are curated by the devs, and have been included by the rating companies in their ratings. Oh, and they are static and don't respond or change.
Unless you want gms supervising your rp to make sure it falls within guidelines of the game.
Because let's face it, if something did happen, SE would get sued for allowing minors to be exploited.

Im just gonna say with how the GMs are acting, its very likely several are outsourced and barely know english, and are mostly copying and pasting off a script they were trained to understand.
Because of this, they probably actually did look up dalliance (or however its spelled) and saw it meant something sexual, then punished the player. When the player kept asking for context, they couldnt follow their script past "it was a bad word no say bad word."
Honestly its really all lining up for me if I envision the GM as someone who barely understands english
I envision a player that tried to use a word with a double meaning in a thinly-veiled attempt at not getting reported, and his case quite apparently backfired. That being said, the terms explicitly state- "The Game is for players aged 13 and older. You agree to behave accordingly." - You can reasonably infer that it means don't expose people to inappropriate content for their age. Irrespective of what the little description says, so he also lost a brownie point here.Im just gonna say with how the GMs are acting, its very likely several are outsourced and barely know english, and are mostly copying and pasting off a script they were trained to understand.

Any reasonable person taking into account the context of the setting, in addition to where and how the word was used could reasonably infer they were thinking of a casual-romantic / sexual relationship albeit short term. This is why this is classical because the person has deliberately used to a word with ambiguity

Im not saying there wasnt a reason, I am saying it makes a lot more sense why certain ones are being reported rather than all of the 18+ PFs

GMs jobs are advertised on Square Enix's website so they are obviously not outsourced. Far from not knowing english, they are desired to know multiple languages fluently, at least in europe.
I agree with the frustration about the vagueness of the GM. But we see like five of these posts a day now. Whatever the non descript violation is, they clearly want people to stop doing this. If you keep doing 18+ ads after seeing so many already punished for it then it’s your own fault at this point.

Play Stupid Games, Win Stupid Prizes: Electric Boogaloo with a Vengeance
If I had any sympathy at all, it died with this thread.
See, that dosent make much sense to me since every GM interaction ive ever seen seems so heavily scripted that whenever theyre asked to go off-script to explain anything they say "Here are ToS" or just skip to kicking someone out. Granted I have never been in trouble with a GM myself, but it seems like if youre meant to moderate a community for a game, you should be able to give very basic details such as "You said a slur" or "You were saying sexually explicit stuff in public"
