I've been reported at least once, with one time being by someone who claimed I made a sexual gesture towards them (they stood between me and my partner while we were emoting at each other and then sat down when I did /squats), and I know they did it because they even took the time to paste an imgur link in chat of a screenshot of their report. I've never been warned or put in a gaol for anything, from that or any other time someone said they were reporting me. Just because someone reports you that doesn't mean you broke a rule. You and many others need to learn that.
A lot of people who weaponize reports like to brag about it or openly tell you that they are reporting you.
My friend took a few weeks break from the game recently, only to come back to someone who had reported them a while back whispering them " Did you enjoy your ban?".
There's also a lot of players who use the likes of Reddit, Discord and Twitter to brag about reporting anyone they happen to disagree with, even if it isn't an actionable offense.
A lot of people make empty threats.
Look don't get me wrong, I am not a supporter of publicly advertised erp. I don't think it's appropriate with the age rating of this game.
However I find it very worrying that people are often disciplined without being told exactly what they did wrong, and also how "dalliance" supposedly must have sexual connotations just because it was for a bar or night club, as opposed to people just chatting casually with no strings attached which can also be a dalliance. A word with more than one meaning on its own isn't proof of something. If they were caught in the act of pushing their erp onto others then fine I support the punishment. But if not, then that is an issue in of itself.
If it obstruct party finder in any way please look what I say PARTY finder... Party finder means looking for people to do X content inside the game that is pvp/pve based... that is why it is reportable, and I don't see why GM's should receive punishment for doing their job.
Obviously people is fuming about this, as it is now pointed out that it is not needed, again find other means to get your message out, use the Fellowship thing, it is actually quite usefull and those interested, will go there and find whatever Fellowship that may seem interesting and when it get more wide out it goes by tongues as well.
Some of the PvP ones work really really well and more... especially to get a message out about a player event or game event.
That is a threath done by these people... and if they get reported for saying that to you... then they will see themself in Jail sooner or later, especially if they keep up with that kind of activity, you can also get reported if you are openly telling someone that you are going to blacklist them....
I think there's definitely situations where more elaboration would be useful in regards to specific breaches of the game rules. With that said, no respectable business really wants to go into intimate detail to explain why adult content between players in a game rated for young teenagers and above is highly inappropriate. It's already something people have agreed to acknowledge and accept already when they first signed up to the game itself.
