Agree, tryhard casuals need to realize that it's my own playstyle to dps instead of wasting mp and a swiftcast to raise someone that died to their own mistake in such easy content.
Question : is it ok if player just auto-attack everything without using any skills? They are doing the none-zero minimum damage. And they are not afk because they run around the target. I mean, its their choice to not use the abilities.
Edit : this question is for you Ralph2449, I'm trying to understand your point of view.

Some content simply isn't doable if everyone isn't doing their part. It's not really about self worth. It's about wanting to complete a piece of content that interests you. Personally, I avoid Savage (while it's current at least) and I only do a couple extreme trials per expansion while they're current, but all of those require teamwork and a basic level of competency at least. If you aren't doing what is required and pulling your own weight you are going to have a rough time. Most don't even expect others to be the best. They just want you to know what you're doing, even if it might not be particularly well. I'd rather have someone who is slightly underperforming but also trying their hardest in my party than some super elite with a legend title and a superiority complex.
Yes and my point is that is rarely ever the case, people keep conjuring up rare scenarios that might possibly happen but in reality when you actually play the game it is rarely ever this lopsided, more often than not you have more than enough overperformers to get everyone through or enough people improve after a few wipes and beat the encounter.
Even if you end up in that rare group where everyone is somehow underperforming severely all you have to do is abandon and try again later, the world didnt end yet people keep acting as if wiping or spending more time than in a quick roflstomp is the worst thing to happen to them, truly 1st world problems.
The tryhard elitist is the person who is going to finish their 5 pieces on this created to be beaten """"challenge"""" and then complaint that the baby, slower or less dexterous person are a problem which not only is toxic but indirectly implies that doing this basic created to be beaten task faster is an """achievement""" of """great skill""" which helps to falsely boost the elitist's self worth as that is their true motive, if challenge was truly their desire they would relish in the chance to do more than the rest.
The healthy person on the other hand will either let people finish their part or assist them for their self worth does not depend on solving basic puzzles created to be beaten, aka as a video game.
I've seen a lot of people here saying they don't want to give advice to people in duties that are not doing well. Want to give a positive story
Signed up for mentor roulette as WHM. Can't remember what the tank and one dps was, but there was a BLM that never used fire IV on the first boss. I noticed, didn't say anything. Second boss, still no fire IV. I stayed quiet. Got to last boss, we failed the dps check with the heads and wiped.
I said something among the lines on "BLM, fire 4 does more damage than fire 1, just so you know"
And they answered they didn't know how to BLM at higher level. I gave them a very basic lv 70 rotation in chat. We try last boss again. I see fire 4We cleared and I got 2 comms. Some people do listen to advice!
Just leave this game and play single player stuff only.Who exactly are you to go around telling people what is the "correct" behavior and what isnt? in an online VIDEO GAME and in content that doesnt even require the dancer to do any of this no less.
The very fact that you use terms like "incorrect/correct behavior" implies you are the authority on what is correct and what isnt and you try to force your beliefs on others because god forbid someone deviates from your "correct behavior" guidelines, in a bloody online video game, I honestly feel bad for the employees that have to deal with people who tell others what is "correct" and telling themselves they are helping while in reality they simply force their possibly close minded beliefs on others because they ve been given the power to.
While you can argue about doing it perfectly or not, there is a wrong or a right for everything. If i que SMN and start spanning physic bc i rather wanna heal im doing smt wrong. If i que healer and dont wanna heal but only dps, its not how its intended.
But whatever youre either hardcore into trolling or wont see our point at all so im just gonna ignore you from now on >_>
Fellow tanks... If you insist on being the "big boy" tank in something like CT (or anything else that hasn't been relevant in a million years), grab the bloody adds. Yes, all of them - outside of certain mechanics, obviously (three adds in Lab taking reduced damage the closer they are, etc). The vast majority hit like wet noodles, so grab them! I swear, the number of times I've had to drag adds over to the main group so everything can be aoed down is ridiculous... and yet when it comes to bosses, they taunt them off, and since I refuse to engage in tank wars, I just disable stance. If you want to tank, tank! Good grief.
To those that insist it "isn't a big deal" to keep stance on... any semi-decent tank with a similar ilvl that isn't sitting there with a finger up their nose will be ping-ponging threat with you constantly, so yes, it absolutely matters. Non-tanks getting hit with tank busters/cleaves/etc (Angras' eye beams...) ain't fun, just annoying. MT drops? Stance+provoke. Congrats, threat is established on a tank, and no dps is pulling that off you unless you decide to just stop pressing buttons. Zero reason to keep stance on.
Nothing to understand the know their position will lead to logical absurdity but I am willing to bet they will bite the bullet cause they are just trolling.Question : is it ok if player just auto-attack everything without using any skills?
