Predictions for job(s) in the next expansion?

Nero, who is made from an elezen body with a unique garlean head, has a unique stance and animations holding his gunhammer. Ranjit himself already has a unique stance and animations for his non-serpent scythe and armor style that's different from what player monks use (he also has full eyebrows, despite looking like he was made from a highlander body).

That could be right, but personally (you don't have to agree with it) I think Yoshi-P is well aware that anything he wears will be analyzed during the announcements of new expansion content, and yes, technically that last shirt was during a live letter, which we haven't had before, but it was the same day, and he surely knows that if he changes shirts to something so specific, that will be seen as a hint. I don't get the feeling that he wants to throw people off their predictions when it comes to this, since all shirts so far except Samurai has been very obvious, and even with Samurai, he specifically hinted at which of the spider man movies to look for clues, so IMO it wasn't that hard to predict.

In either case, reaper fits both shirts anyways.

I mean, that's kinda the point though, as evidenced by the first shirt he wore which said "No Comment." Obviously YoshiP knows that people are looking at his shirts for class/job reveals. So, given that, putting on a second shirt (3rd shirt, really) that was so blatantly obviously pointing at a reaper/necro/scythe class, especially during a part of the show that wasn't even connected to the actual Expansion Reveal, would have been the perfect way to troll the fans that he knows are just looking at his shirts to have their predictions confirmed.

I would think the shirt from the LL was supposed to be another hint for the melee. Since we are still in a pandemic and are most likely only getting 1 fanfest equivalent he might have hinted at it twice because there was no where else to hint it at.

Actually isn’t it a pretty known fact that Yoshi P is just a benevolent gamer troll?

Not saying you’re doing this but, everyone is including the LL shirt, which has never been the case before, but excluding the first shirt he wore.

In either event, a job (or race, IE: Viera) has never gotten more than one shirt as is.

He has used shirts to hint at new jobs at every single Fanfest so far, so...I'd say it's not circumstantial. And yes, this was an expansion event. We got a teaser trailer and a bunch of other information. This was basically Fanfest part 1. Heck, in the showcase description it explicitly said that it would be about the "future of FF XIV". He also switched shirts not just once, but twice. Each of them displayed a deathly looking figure. In the past he hasn't really done this on a whim. Could he be messing with us? Maybe. But I wouldn't bet money on it.

So the odds of this being a red herring are much more likely given that anyone can google the band and see it lost their guitar player very recently and Yoshi-p could have just been a fan.

He is a big fan of the band actually. So the tribute was definitely not so random as some people think.

If I had to guess itd be another physical ranged class. Currently we have 4 tanks, 4 melee dps, 4 caster dps (if you include blu), 3 healers (4th on the way), and 3 physical ranged dps. I wouldn't be shocked if it was a "limited " job like blu in the form of a ranged bst job. Since they have said they wanted to do more limited jobs.

Yoshi-P mentioned in the Announcement Showcase that the second Job will be Melee, and he mentioned in an interview that it will likely use Maiming armour.

Ah, I havent been keeping up. If that's the case, I'd agree with some of the other posters with it being some scythe job, with bst coming as a limited job using scouting gear halfway through the xpac
