Stuff like ps5, xbox, and the whole chips decline has to do with politics, theft, and sovereignty.
The countries which have the natural resources necessary for these chips are either not allowing it anymore, being protected by other countries (Russia), or the local natives are not allowing the theft of it. There's also a theory that chips are scarce because they're going into the corona vaccine, my previous statement is not a theory though.

Regardless, I remember when I could get any special wii remote or whatever else I wanted as a kid. Now everything just sells out at the snap of a finger.
