I dunno man.
FF11 had Tarutaru.
Crystal Chronicles had Lilty.
Lotta the time they give you racial options in character creation they usually have a short & cute one.
Especially since they've expressed it's important to provide a good variety of races, I think we can always expect to see a short & cute one.
And while Tactics Advanced let you play as Moogles, for an MMO they're gonna have more human-like options for gear modeling reasons.
Oh yes, I wasn’t saying they haven’t had lalas before or couldn’t use them in future.
But I’d personally prefer if any new FF Online was as original as it can be. I think generally XIV was perhaps too similar to XI at least at base level, and I’d like to see far more differentiation personally, like the single player games usually have.
That’s not just online either, I personally really disliked the constant use of Ivalice and that whole lightning world being used in multiple ways.
If the content is great then obviously milk it, I think we all wanted more FFX etc. And it’s always cool to see cameos in 14 or WoFF etc. But to keep rehashing content and designs when some of them aren’t that good (imo Lala’s) just seems like they are being lazy to me.
How do you bot and cheat in BDO and is it the same way as in FFXIV?
When people complain about botting/cheating, the examples used are usually about people farming things. Usually those are made to be eventually sold to people, so no player trading would cut down on a lot of it, even if not all of it.
I suppose other forms of botting, like trying to purchase a house would still happen.

If the new game had devs that actually cared about healer gameplay I'd swap in a heartbeat.
Make SCH great again! Seriously though, we just want our class to be fun and engaging again, not OP, is that too much to ask for?

I still believe that what happened to healer was mostly from the feedback of some healers saying they would really like it if they actually focused on healing rather than.. well not healing.
So they added more healing spells, reduced damage dealing focus, and for a short while before gear creep there was a bit of a healing focus. Then gear creep came in, and some healers were just already multi-task talented, such that it just became "oGCD heal + 1-2 damage spells over and over".
I think we will see a response to all this in the next expansion, perhaps some of the jobs get more of a dps rotation back- may see some tighter balance on healer gameplay (so they need to heal more). I assume one healer will remain fairly straight forward though so it can be the less stressful / simple one to play. I also suspect part of the reason that we're getting a gear crunch, that they said will make unsync not as powerful, is because of that issue where the stronger people get the less you need a healer.
Not that I'm saying healer has no problems and shouldn't have adjustments, just that I feel like part of these issues were coming from caring about healer's feeling and some missteps around that. We'll see next expansion I guess what they're doing about it all.

Honestly?
Leave.
Because FFXIV has way too many things holding it back. 1.0 spaghetti code causing issues to this day, uninteresting patch cycles filled with lots of boredom, a terrible glamour system just to name a few.
Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

Was there some announcement I missed?
I would go to the new one probably, left 11 for this and was mostly happy. So hopefully it would feel similar.
Would fully depend on that games’ version of these exact same jobs.

I will completely move over to the new FF because I'm just a sucker for shiny new stuff.
Not that I'm expecting a lot of change, since the MMO genre has not had real innovations for a long time. But a new start in a new world, new lore, new characters, new story, it's always exciting.
Even if we just take the current game system and jobs, streamline them a bit and condense the level 90 gameplay into level 50, rinse and repeat, I would still move over.
Although it would be interesting if the next FF MMO would do something similar to PSO2 when the same characters/glamour etc. are all transferred over and you can move between the new FF and old FF at any time.
In any case, I'm not emotionally attached to 14 in particular, so I'll definitely switch to playing the new FF.

I would like to see the next game be quite unique as well.
I think the reason 14 is so similar to 11 is because it was built to replace it.
I hope they don't try that tactic again, though after 1.0's horrible failure I imagine for the next 1.0 we'll see some extreme differences in philosophy.

It's been since already Stormblood I was planning to maybe stop after the end of the 1st Arc.
It's the best moment to move on another MMO or for doing other activities.
But I guess, it's the best moment too for SE to bring a lot of news features and improvements in the game at the start of the 2nd Arc.
We will see.
