What happens to our protection from the primals without them though. Doesn't it fade away if she dies due to Hyydaelyns blessing?

Or since we are you know... Azem.. they might go with that excuse to keep our echo. What about the scions though?

Protection from Primals is innate though, it's granted via the Echo, not the Blessing of Light which Hydaelyn gave the WoL (the Blessing is that fancy aetheric mandala where the Crystals of Light are 'arranged'). So it should remain intact even if Hydaelyn 'dies' (this was demonstrated late in ARR/much of HW after Midgardsormr sealed the Wol's Blessing, effectively stripping them of it's power - the WoL no longer had access to their 'hotline' to Hydaelyn, but they could still fight Primals without being tempered as normal.).

And this should be the same for anyone awoken to the Echo, it will still remain regardless what happens with Hydaelyn (on that last point I could speculate, but I won't).

Maybe it'll be a world space inside the moon like Terra in FFIX.

Opportunity for some epic alien landscapes, and to really shock the mind (like how the end zones in each expansion like to do so far, having something "out there" and not normal - which I like lol).

FFIX is due for a big focus like this, definitely wish it's Terra.

I'm one of those who think it will be the Moon, but just like Mor Dhona and Tempest had different areas (Fogfens/Silvertear, Tempest/Amaurot), the Moon may get 2 areas as well: one would be the empty surface, and who knows, perhaps whatever hides in the "dark side".

We will have the raid Pandaemonium on the Moon, so it could take place inside a part of the Moon we will not visite during 6.0 story maybe.
I wish we would have Memoria as endgame dungeon or as a whole area inside.

Well, I mean, van_arn only presented 'disable' them as one option (alongside 'teaming up with them').

Were I writing this, I'd be sorely tempted to further upend expectations and have us working to restore Zodiark and perhaps fuse Zodiark and Hydaelyn into a new, more-balanced entity. (After all, we know primal fusion is A Thing thanks to Rastapast- er, I mean Raktapaksa.) That'd do an end-run around the Hydaelyn-vs-Zodiark eternal conflict, and even aside from the Echo (which we'd presumably still have) the newly-fused entity could presumably also still lend us a Blessing... though one assumes it would be a Blessing of Light and Darkness (or a Blessing of Balance) at that point.

After all, we've been the Warrior of Light, and the Warrior of Darkness... maybe it's time to be the Warrior of Balance, and try to keep things from tipping too far in any direction.

Plus, honestly, I feel like there'd be a bit of a poetic balance if the arc that began with us trying to stop the Ascians from restoring their god (who we now know was created to stave off the end of the world) concluded with us trying to restore Zodiark as a step in trying to prevent the end of the world, and an Ascian (Fandaniel) trying to stop us.

But, again, that's me as a writer; I have zero idea what direction the devs will take it.

Other people here are mentioning Sharlayan... and as someone who pretends to be a Sharlayan for RP purposes, it would be nice to finally see my "home town". I don't really see much reason for going there... but I don't see much of a reason for going to Thavnair either, so who the hell knows.

I will say though, that even if we don't go somewhere this expansion, there's still more to come after this. My expectation is that after this arc, we're going to visit the New World.

That is actually wrong. The final zone for ShB, The Tempest, has the Ondo (the First's version of the Sahagin), and there is even a friendly tribe of them there (occupying what is insinuated to be part of the

ruins of the real Amaurot

).

The general belief and 'proof' that the final zone for EW will be the Moon however is based on how EW seems to be referencing FFIV a lot, and the moon is not only FFIV's final zone/dungeon, it's also where the rabbit-like Hummingway tribe was located, so that is a good a choice as any. Nothing is known for certain at the moment though.

The Ondo aren’t a beast tribe in the way that you interact with them though, they’re just npcs.

The moon tribe will likely be Hummingway (although I’d love the FF8 alien) but they pretty much indicates that it’s an actual beast tribe with beast tribe quests. They haven’t been in the last zone so far and I don’t see that changing.

Journey to Thavnair, the imperial capital of Garlemald, and even the moon!

I have a feeling it will likely end on Hydalen after we find out some hidden truth about/from Zodiark and in a way hope it ties into what is beneath Silvertear Lake with that mystery and maybe the rest of the 1.0 Mohr Dhona could make a final zone.

I said before that I think we will go to the Lifestream in 6.0, and I still believe the last zone is in the Lifestream.
