Does Square intend to address Market botting?

noticed something the last day or so that has me stumped.

I target the bots on anything over about 175k. I put things up for about 60k and typically they will gleefully undercut me. the last day, one of my bot nemesis, the one I have noticed the longest, seems to have raised their basement. I doubt my one person crusade would have impacted their bottom line that much, so I am not sure what is going on.

It's a discussion forum for the game. You don't get to dictate who or who isn't allowed to enter a discussion.

I do contribute to the discussion. I offer a different perspective based on my years of playing MMOs and reading through the various articles developers have made regarding the fight against RMT and botting.

What I'm not going to contribute to is your attempts to turn the thread into an echo chamber. Echo chambers only promote ignorance.

Cost to produce has probably increased with fewer players farming Allegory this week as they can work on their Resistance Weapons instead. You don't get Allegory while farming the old Alliance raids and SB FATEs for your weapon items.

Things will probably go back to their normal patterns in a week or two when players are done with their intermediate step farming (it only has to be completed once per character instead of per weapon).

Is Zalera on Aether or Crystal centers? According to an anti bot discord i've joined (see new sig) A lot of bots actually seem to have been nuked into obtaining signature land, and it's influencing mat prices.

Zalera is also on Crystal.

Let's hope those bots aren't quickly replaced as others have been (or better yet aren't replaced at all).

I noticed the RMT bot ringmaster goes dark once in a while. but they always pop back up, typically with a new name so I assume they get banned. but since people still buy gil... it will only continue until the buyers get harsher penalties

How it seems to work: the gathering bots get the materials and bring them to the crafting bot (the name of the account that shows up on the merchandise) who then gives the crafted items to market/pricing bots who sell.... well almost everything on the market board. These accounts then undercut real players (24/7) trying to sell goods at reasonable prices. After the bots item sells it is quickly replaced and real players products continue to sit on the market board. Make no mistake, this is coordinated across the entire data center. This is without a doubt one of the RMT rings.

I have a spreadsheet keeping track of known third party software using bot FCs. I'm not about to post a link to it here. Currently I'm moving about all NA servers to verify bot activity, then I plan to submit the whole thing to SE's special task force. I have no idea if this will result in anything. I hope so. I'm doing their homework for them.
