Well I guess that's difference between our mentalities. I personally find things that are just given to you and are easy just straight up boring. Well i don't know what TEA is nor this xenos guy, i simply don't care about that. But i can understand the feeling of achieving something, i just don't get it from raiding. I would have no issue if they would just send us the best BOS gear via mogmail regulary, because after a half year or next season (in other games) its already outdated anyway.

Of course i also enjoy working towards something and feel happy when i reached my goal, but this stuff can literaly be anything. Finishing my workshop, making a couple of money, collecting all Blue spells, getting achievments or all new Legendary weapons for each class to name just a few examples inside the game and there are of course way more outside. Thats one of the reasons why i never get bored, there is simply way more stuff i wanna do or try out than i can finish in a lifetime.


In all these years i had allways in every mmo the impression that these hardcore raiders have a far to limited view at the game, they usually only do the raid pve stuff which is in most cases just 5-10% of a game and complain than that there is nothing to do, ignoring all other content that the game has to offer. Also a lot of them allways feel like they are someone special, standing above everyone else and deserve some kind of special threatment.

Well i said how i really feel about that and im pretty sure there is stuff that i do where others would feel like its a waste of lifetime. The difference between them and me is that i dont care, i just said what i think about it. If you wanna react to that or not is up to you.

Prioritizing content that is for everyone over something that is only for a very small group is only logical, nothing more nothing less.

You guys enjoy only ultimate in this game ? I only tried ultimate 2 Times. 1srt part of ucob in pf and passed garuda part in uwu with pf thanks to 2 players who guided us (2 hours but we did it xD). Tbh i stay away from ultimate because i know i'm a pepega player.
I understand how fun it can be, but danm asking to cut bozja because you didnt get what you want is not the way.

Same for the casual with the " it's only 1% " excuse. It's BS. Casuals really hate when they can't access to everything. Even me asking to have a way to farm relics in extreme or Savage resulted in ppl saying : "it's only 1% dude".

I think cutting the DR Savage and finishing ultimate would have been fair but at what cost ? If it results in a badly designed ultimate, hardcore players would complain too. And it also means that players like me who don't want to go to ultimate but still want some difficulty, will just get nothing as well.

And if we look at other game studios both big or small have you noticed any of them suffering as much as ff14 has? Naturally, delays are expected, but when the content pre-covid to post-covid for this expansion is the same in both quantity and quality, how exactly do we keep ending up back at "but covid!" ?

In my opinion the reality is that 14's dev team has always be inefficient, but it was a lot easier to hide that until covid. Now we are seeing just how bad it really is.


This isn't a niche-game, square isn't a niche company strapped for money, they still charge pre-covid prices for their products, so start treating them like the professional, multi-million dollar company that they are.

you’re free to express how you feel. But i’d guess you might feel raiders think themselves special and above others because they say something like “playing anything other than raid is a waste of lifetime”

However, I would be willing to bet that they decided to choose which content they could push back that would upset the least amount of players. It sucks, but sometimes the hard choices have to be made. They explained why it was delayed in the Live Letter. It sucks, and I'm sorry. But they've got their work schedule to adhere to.
