You are right that is something I had never understand in over 20 years of MMO gaming. To me this stuff only feels like wasted lifetime with a lot of boring and frustrating moments. It doesn't feel rewarding and has more with unpaid work in common than anything else. So why wasting time with this stuff if there is an endless ocean of other fun things i can do? If I ever get the desire to punish myself i go to a BDSM club, at least the Dominas there look nice.

You mean like doing content where winning is inevitable and the challenge is barely there? Or glamming it up and AFKing someplace to show off that glam?

I'm not at all an Ultimate raider, but I understand the drive to do something that you personally view as tough. It's basic human nature to push the body or mind to that point because it genuinely is thrilling.

Why do you think Dark Souls is popular?

Why do you think that games have 'Savage' difficulty levels implemented?

Not everyone wants monotonous, normal quality 'it takes less then thirty minutes' and 'everyone's a winner' content.

If the devs haven't finished this fight yet, it's because they're pissed off to work on it. They'd rather develop something else and since they're developing something else, at the end, when you look at where it's at on this fight, well, you can see that it's not progressing. Just remember the dev who designed E2S, he's an old guy who developed a lot of HL fights. He made it clear that he was stopping doing HL fights because he was tired of it. But as he saw that there was no one for E2S, he had to design it so that the raid would be ready in time.

And on the player side, the idea was that the players who do savage raids would get something during odd patches. But it turned out that the majority of these people don't care about ultimate and they are already a minority in this game to begin with.

In fact, almost no dev wants to develop ultimates and almost no player wants to play ultimates.

From that point on, ultimates should have stopped after Ucob.

Last time I checked, there's a pandemic going on. So your 'real life' suggestions aren't that great.

Secondly, telling someone/anyone they're 'wasting their time' by doing harmless stuff they genuinely enjoy makes for a poor argument.

They have a genuine reason to be sore about it.
