Another post making it out to be a hardcore versus casual thing and complaining about casual players... Oh joy.If you really want to understand the outrage:
We were promised there would be two ultimates;
We already waited — from the whole 5.3 delay to the ultimate being pushed to 5.5;
We were told the game development is back on track;
We were told there wouldnt be another ultimate in literally the last minute — many won’t be grinding savage and getting prepared if they announce or even hint the delay earlier.
For a lot of us suddenly a good chunk of reason to play the game in next few months is gone.
We all know that there’s a pandemic out there, but this series of poor communication/management/decision making is on SE. They deserve the criticism.
Also i believe this game works better when it tries to have a variety content to cater DIFFERENT groups of players.
Honestly i’m tired of casual players being like “hey i ‘understand’ why you are upset but i dont care about your feeling hell i dont like your kind anyway so can you keep your complain to yourself? I mean of course i UNDERSTAND you’re upset, just dont show it.”
And I'm also sure that Ulitmate was never coming in 5.3 so I don't understand the use of the word delay here unless you have proof that says otherwise?

People don't understand this

I don't give a shit about the cosmetics of the seasonal events, that's why in the next event they just give us a hat I don't care but I understand perfectly that it sucks and the times that I have been able to give my opinion I say that it is a shit.
Thanks for reminding me why I absolutely hate hardcore raiders and will enjoy tasting your delicious tears. Imagine crying about content that less then 1% of this games population will ever see.
Hardcore raiders do make the most noise for sure considering this thread is an 18 page echo chamber of crying.
5% not 1%, casual playerThanks for reminding me why I absolutely hate hardcore raiders and will enjoy tasting your delicious tears. Imagine crying about content that less then 1% of this games population will ever see.

Hope you read better your skill
One thing is what you prefer for personal tastes and another thing is what really happens, that I can also say that Mu Online has a quantity of obscene content and defend it with the excuse that your character can reset infinitely while you stay in a spot with an autoclick for 20 hours a day. I also prefer many things from this game to the other but I know perfectly the amount of things that one offers me to the other, especially in a game where we pay a monthly subscription compared to BDO, PSO2, GW2, etc.Well everyone has a different taste and i admit there are some things that WoW does better no doubt and i admit i really like the combat there (it doesn't feels so slow), but in my eyes the overall package from FFXIV still wins. Except for the raiding i do nearly everything else this game has to offer and there is a lot of stuff that this game does better (at least for my taste) and some things you don't even find in WoW like housing or the Gold Saucer activities. Also i enjoy the DoH/DoL jobs way more in this game than in WoW, sure the new DeepDungeon in WoW is not bad but i still prefer this version.
Sure there is no real faction farming like in WoW, but i never was a fan of it since WoW has simply way to many factions and a lot of stuff is time locked which i don't like (for example you can get only 2 levels with the new factions each week, if you want to grind them at a weekend its not possible). Last but not least this game looks way better than WoW and a lot of other MMOs (if you use Reshade).
You come from an abusive relationship to enter another abusive relationship but you still don't realize it because of course, the first years of a relationship are always the most beautiful.Thanks for reminding me why I absolutely hate hardcore raiders and will enjoy tasting your delicious tears. This thread you have created proves it.
Yeah there does need to be more in-between content but not at the level you're thinking, the biggest jump is from normal content to EX content and there needs to be more content filling in that gap. Closest we have right now is Odin, higher-end PoTD/HoH, and Delebraum Reginae. Odin being the best example as it's harder than a normal fight and has a noticeable DPS check but isn't as unforgiving as an EX can be when it comes to mucking up mechanics. PoTD/HoH is just midcore difficulty in general due to the scaling nature of enemies and how BS the floors can be sometimes so it's a meh example, and DR is like an inverted Odin, messing up mechs is as unforgiving as Odin was DPS-wise but there is only 1 dps check and it's a very lenient one.
I can certainly agree with that. That's why I like Eureka and Bozja. It's not that difficult if you know the ins and outs (could say the same about everything, really), but it's nice that if fosters more communication. Oh and on top it actually adds stuff like the lost actions. Usually we get stuff taken away.Yeah there does need to be more in-between content but not at the level you're thinking, the biggest jump is from normal content to EX content and there needs to be more content filling in that gap. These guys think people do ultimate solely for the rewards. I feel bad for these guys who will never feel the rush that you get for clearing content that may take months to progTo be honest, I'm glad they didn't wasted much resources on Ultimate which most of the players never will experience anyway. Boss fights in this game are simply boring (no matter which difficulty) and take way to long for the little rewards they give. How long usually a Savage Boss takes? 15min? 20min? Sounds like fun lets do Ultimate and beat the same Boss in 30min. for shity loot.
Seriously if i want fun and challenging long Boss fights i play something like Monster Hunter or another MMO.![]()
So it is 95% to 5% and it still does not change the equation. It is not like there is some separate Ultimate team. It is the same guys who design everything else and sorry an expansion takes priority.
You guys might not like that and only log on for Ultimates but the rest of the playerbase that equals far more money logs on for the rest of the content.
The rush..? LOL.
You mean a game turning more into a job than your actual job, the drama, the in-fighting, the lack of sleep? All for a title and weapon that people will just pay for in a month or two anyway.
