I don't like Eureka or Bozja that much. Each have there own ideas and one does somethings better than the other, but both systems as a whole feel disappointing. I hope the relic line in 6.0 involves a deep dungeon or something.

I think their first, and biggest, mistake is that they didn't make the relic completable within a reasonable time frame in the content you have to do to get it anyway. It should be on par with outside sources. Maybe keep some RNG in place depending on the step, but not make it too punishing. I think it is bad design when a quick run through 24 man raids will net you one item toward your progress and you can spend the same amount of time, if not longer, in Bozja and not get anything at all.
They did fate grinding for the last step so they probably thought people would get tired of it for outside of zone content so gave a break for one stepThey could have tied the new step to fate grinding and CE's in Bozja and then made the next step for the i530 relic require mats from Castrum and Delubrum instead of the current system where it's clear once and forget it ever existed.
At least then getting people to clear the alliance raids wouldn't be so far fetched compared to now where people who want nothing to do with any of the instances are forced to catch up or abandon their relics altogether
They are also doing another zone it seems for 5.55 so making next relic step require castrum and DR for 5.55 step would pull people from that area which wouldn't be the smartest for people doing it in bozja

I dunno, man. Everything you listed sounds fun to me. Sometimes I think people WANT to only FATE grind in a low level zone. I don't get it.We were in there for 2 hours. Even without the dying we'd have shaved off about half an hour, tops. Yeah, it's new and people still have to learn, but having 6(or was it 7?) full-fledged, mechanics heavy, big HP pool bosses one after the other gets really tiring after a while. If you get a low-damage party through RNG that's only going to make it take even longer (since the game doesn't care about proper party balance)
My party was literally 3 tanks and 5 DPS, and we had 1 healer in both other parties. It was silly.
The reason it was fun was because it was my first time, everything's new, and we had a few good laughs. Beyond that it's an insufferably long crawl with rewards that are barely worth running it for. It's like running an undersized Castrum; sure, it's doable, and maybe even fun if it's your first time, but it's going to take about half an hour longer than it has any right to and really drag near the end.
The mechanics introduced in it are cool, but legit, I'd rather have had just a second raid storyline rather than having to go through Bozja for these fights. It feels like it would've benefitted from that a lot more, especially with how these fights are actually designed (LOOKIN' AT YOU HOT/COLD)
I'll try it out tomorrow. Looking forward to it. Castrum was already so much fun. ^^

Oh man, that's gonna be such a wonderful boon.
Maybe I won't start shunning the Alliance Roulette as hard lol
You know... I've been thinking about that.
Outside of SQEX making two stories (one for people who did Bozja and one for those who didn't), I think the only other thing they could have done is have the main camp be on Gangos and not the front line itself.
That way wether you're gathering memories on the front line or from Heavensward fates, both groups can report back there. The story would need a little adjusting, but so much takes place at the camp anyway.
I think the main thing they'd have to change would be to add Castrum to the duty finder instead of having it be accessed through Bozja.

Oh now THAT I would love. I really like deep dungeons and they seem to be content that has a lot of staying power, cos there's so many reasons you can go into them even if you've run them before. And since you only need four people, it's not as hard to get a group together as it would be to like... fill an entire Eureka or Bozja instance.

I meant fate grinding in Bozja, sure it sucks to have to do more fates but at least then you'll have your foot in the door for Castrum and Delubrum, so to speak. They did fate grinding for the last step so they probably thought people would get tired of it for outside of zone content. You pretty much have to play catch up now when formerly there was absolutely no reason to step foot in Bozja because it's so much more time efficient to grind fates and dungeons.
Watching forum drama be like

What kills me is that they still kept it more efficient to farm content outside of Bozja, but also made Castrum a requirement. And the follow up 24 man raid. I'm beginning to think that the dev team doesn't have a clue. Or a plan. Well, a plan that makes sense anyway. Heck, they didn't even address the issues that most people have with Bozja before they made them worse.I meant fate grinding in Bozja, sure it sucks to have to do more fates but at least then you'll have your foot in the door for Castrum and Delubrum, so to speak.

I think the worst part about Castrum is actually getting enough people together to do it and the rewards being very subpar. The entire raid itself is fun and its cool trying to coordinate with many groups. I think Delubrum Reginae is also very fun fights-wise, but once again marred by poor choices (no role queue, doesn't refill spots of dropouts, another mettle sink). I think I would describe Bozja on the whole as "a good idea ruined by many strange decisions", such as not being able to reliably upgrade the relic through the new system, Castrum being awkward to fill, the coin solution causing the same problem in the other direction, needing an ungodly amount of coins to augment the Castrum gear or praying that you luck out with the abysmally small drop chance, etc.
Also, I don't get the point of Bozjan Silver Coins either. All I can see that they can be used for is trading in 100 for 1 Bozjan Gold Coin to actually buy the new stuff. That seems like a waste of a resource to get from a raid that is already challenging enough.
