I see people referring to stuff like C'U'Sy'C' or C U U S all modified. What's the order? Is it hull stern bow bridge that this is referring to? And what's a good farm build these days. I tried to read through this (rather long) thread but I'm having problem seeing what's outdated and what isn't.

The order for them is the order they appear in game: in the repair/change parts screen, in the company crafting screen, on the market board, etc.

The last update to subs was December 7th, so anything before that is out of date for the newest zones.

• Modified Unk Stern
• Modified Syl Bow
• Modified Coel Bridge

Every voyage log I look at I see that message pop up on every item retrieval.

Poor retrieval levels result in disappointing retrieval results

Should I be worried? Should I modify components? What does poor retrieval cost me?

Retrieval increases your gains from multi-items loot like ore, highly useful branches (at least the mammets seem to think so) and such. If your goal is rare items, you can only bring back one per attempt (favor levels may allow for one additional attempt).
