How triggered would everyone be if we dont get Male Viera, but get Female Hrothgar?
Even worse, is if they use the Viera Lore Excuse?

Oh that might be even crazier. I don't think either are happening, to be completely honest. Especially not after the last year with Covid going on and work having to be adjusted and slowed down.

Im...on the Fence. Like, part of me thinks we might not see Male Viera, but I can't say its a guarantee we will see Female Hrothgar either.

I think they'll add both of the missing genders or neither of them. It wouldn't go down well to add only one to the game and if they were to take such a route, it'd be even more odd to pick the decidedly much more niche option of the duo.

I'm thinking the same. I also don't have any faith that they will introduce either of them, unfortunately. I would love to be proven wrong, though!

I mean, adding only ONE of the missing genders is a PR disaster that I'm pretty sure Yoshi-P would be aware of.

Also, after the thread got nuked once, the bulk of m!Viera supporters just chilled out a bunch: it's more common to see arguments now on the FEMALE HROTHGAR thread, which used to be the calmer counterpart of this one. With some louder people here and there, we've generally agreed to let the dev team do as they think is best, and gently but continuously remind them that it's something that a sizable number of players want.

Right. I don't think either race with opposing genders is going to show up for this upcoming expansion. I just don't think they've had the time or the resources. Heck, they didn't have them when they were working without Covid. Covid set them back big time. I'm pretty sure we're not seeing any new races (which is what the opposing genders are considered, from their technical standpoint) for now. Honestly, I don't know what to expect, but Yoshida did say to keep expectations high. He never suggests that so I take it they've got something in the works that they're proud of.

I definitely think it's down to what the Japanese playerbase pushes for, honestly. As much as NA/EU has a presence on their bottom line, I have long come to terms that most of their decisions rest on their core consumers. I could be wrong for the current opinion of JP, but I know there wasn't nearly as much noise about the missing genders there.

Can you believe if the 6.0 trailer at some point showed the Viera homeland being invaded and some Garlean Legion capturing a bunch of hooded Viera tryin to escape... but something is odd about one of them. The Garlean officer pushes them to the ground and the hood falls off to reveal to be a male.

The female officer says something about looking at a rare sight, and that she knows how that feels, and tells the soldiers to give that one special treatment... Just as the camera moves up... a female Hroth.
