I would've seen the DC. That is a different enterprise.the thing that results in having to start the whole fight over in casual content like normal mode raids and alliance raids is multiple party members critically failing mechanics all at once. You did not wipe because the Ninja used the LB at 20% instead of 2%.
Would you also blame the ninja if they DC'd and you lost lb3 that way?
And it is BECAUSE a lot of these players cannot be trusted not to crit fail mechanics all at once which is why you have that insurance policy.
Personally as DPS I may use it in pretty run-of-the-mill dungeons just because it looks cool to kill a boss with it, in things like Alliance Raids and for me more recently, Eden stuff, I typically don't touch LB because even in normal mode you never know when you'd need healer to LB3.
If nobody uses the LB I will... regardless of what job. Why people don't use it I have no idea. Such a waste.
Its not an insurance policy. It cannot be relied upon for a myriad of reasons (long charge time, disappearing for several reasons, short range, refills people in the wall, healer reliant). It would be better for people to actually learn mechanics than hope to be carried by a healer lb3.
So more an unreliable last resort option (in the case of healer LB3).Its not an insurance policy. It cannot be relied upon for a myriad of reasons (long charge time, disappearing for several reasons, short range, refills people in the wall, healer reliant). It would be better for people to actually learn mechanics than hope to be carried by a healer lb3.
idk about other ppl but assuming its a challenging fight, i want to use the lb when
1) there isnt a mechanic about to kill me that i should pay attention to
2) my burst isn't up
just so happens that the easiest time to do this is when the boss is around 10% and me dying after i cast it due to stupidity isn't as much of a loss
Then report for Obstruction. The only way the general player is going to learn mechanics is under pain of loss of account if they don't.Its not an insurance policy. It cannot be relied upon for a myriad of reasons (long charge time, disappearing for several reasons, short range, refills people in the wall, healer reliant). It would be better for people to actually learn mechanics than hope to be carried by a healer lb3.
Counterpoint: It's better to clear the content then waste a half hour or more of your life due to a bad group. Its not an insurance policy. It cannot be relied upon for a myriad of reasons (long charge time, disappearing for several reasons, short range, refills people in the wall, healer reliant). It would be better for people to actually learn mechanics than hope to be carried by a healer lb3.
We all know it's very possible, likely even, that multiple party members will critically fail mechanics all at once.
You can hold it, and possibly waste it. Losing like 25 seconds or so.
You can use it straight away, possibly wasting 5 minutes or more if people then start dropping dead.
In general, if your aim is to use the limit break to play as time efficiently as possible then you would have to be getting through something like a dozen alliance raids without a wipe to make hitting it ASAP the best option.
In reality this is all obviously dependent on the raid and alliance you get, someone with a bit of experience should have a decent idea of which will be the most efficient route by the time they've got an LB3 to spend though.
